Abstract: A method and system for the online design, real-time visual rendering, ordering, and manufacturing of various architectural millwork products such as wainscoting panels, cabinet doors, fireplace mantels, and columns. A user logs on to a system server over the Internet using a personal computer and common browser, chooses one of many configurable designs, inputs dimensional and critical build criteria, receives a real-time image displayed on his computer screen from such input, receives further real-time images with each user selectable change to such inputs, so as to render immediate visual images of the as-designed product on the user's computer screen. After the user submits his final order through an online-cart and check out process, the order is further reviewed by a backend system and thereafter processed for generating CNC machine code and other related manufacturing instructions to further automate the manufacturing process.
