  • Patent number: 10944620
Abstract: The present invention is directed to data communication. In certain embodiments, the present invention provides switching mechanism for choosing between redundant communication links. Data received from a first set of communication links are processed to have alignment markers removed, and first figure of merit value is determined based on the data without alignment markers. Similarly, a second figure of merit value is determined for the data received from the second set of communication links. A switch selects between the first set of communication links and the second set of communication links based on their respective figure of merit values. Alignment markers are inserted into the data transmitted through the selected set of data links. There are other embodiments as well.

  • Patent number: 9252903
Abstract: Despite a recent revision, IEEE 1588™-2008 does not provide a complete implementation for PTP (precision time protocol) that accounts for variable delays introduced by network components. According to a broad aspect, the present disclosure provides implementations that account for variable delays introduced by network components. Therefore, the amount of time that a packet spends in transit through a transparent clock can be accounted for. According to another broad aspect, there is provided a master-slave mode that allows a transparent clock to function as a master or a slave to another clock.

  • Patent number: 8974332
Abstract: The present invention provides methods and systems for an adjustment device for allowing the expeditious adjustment of drive belts that includes a frame having at least one channel, a tab extending substantially perpendicularly from the longitudinal axis of the frame, and a boss rotationally disposed on the frame. A support member is disposed adjacent the frame and includes a bore for receiving an adjustment member having a first end and a second end, and the second end of the adjustment member is disposed in close proximity to the tab of the frame.

  • Patent number: 7858140
Abstract: An improved wet milling process is provided that allows for separation of seed coat particles from the horny endosperm particles of seed. The process uses soaking and grinding to produce seed coat flake particles and horny endosperm particles that may be separated using movement of liquid slurry of the particles, providing hydraulic lift to separate the seed coat particles. Improvements in the process allow for omitting addition of sulfur compounds to the process. By-products of wet milling with improved properties are provided.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 16, 2007
Date of Patent: December 28, 2010
    Assignee: Corn Value Products
