  • Publication number: 20190277080
Abstract: A sliding door system for inline closure of an opening in the wall of a structure, which may be a building or an item of furniture, for example. The sliding door system includes a door panel, a guiderail assembly having a wall mount fixedly attached to the wall above the opening and a guiderail coupled to the wall mount via a plurality of doubled-hinge assemblies that together serve to allow the guiderail to pivot towards and away from the wall. The top portion of the door panel has one ore more roller assemblies that are slidably coupled to the guiderail via rollers. A stop on the guiderail serves as a catch, or cam, that causes a closing force on the door panel to be transferred to the double-hinge assemblies and to cause the door panel to be pulled into inline closure in the opening.

  • Patent number: 8018186
Abstract: An electronic system for controlling a fan motor includes a microcontroller and a drive circuit. The microcontroller draws power from a first voltage source and generates control signals for sending drive current to stator coils of a fan motor via the drive circuit. The electronic system further includes a second voltage source to provide the microcontroller with an amount of energy sufficient to operate for a short period of time when the voltage of the first voltage source drops below a predetermined level. The microcontroller is configured to detect when the voltage level of the first voltage source drops below a given level and generates control signals for the drive circuit to discharge energy in the stator coils of the fan motor to quickly stop operation of the fan motor within a short period of time.

  • Publication number: 20110035275
Abstract: A method of electronic advertising includes determining a plurality of portions of an image that are to be designated as mouse-clickable portions. The mouse-clickable portions each correspond to a single item to be offered for sale. The method includes designating each of the plurality of portions as mouse-clickable portions and providing a hyper-link in conjunction with each of the mouse-clickable portions. When a given mouse-clickable portion is clicked on by a user, the hyper-link causes a web browser to display a site offering the item shown in the mouse-clickable portion for sale.

  • Patent number: 7711439
Abstract: A method of controlling a motor speed for a fan assembly includes receiving a duty cycle value at a microcontroller. The microcontroller receives a measured fan speed from a speed sensor. An expected fan speed is determined, where the expected fan speed corresponds to the duty cycle value. The measured fan speed is compared with the expected fan speed. A duty cycle of a motor driving signal is reduced if the measured fan speed is less than a predetermined fraction of the expected fan speed.

  • Publication number: 20090309435
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide an integrated air-mover and position sensor for an electric motor. One or more fins may be attached to a position sensor and adapted to generate a movement of air when the position sensor rotates with a rotor shaft. Such an arrangement not only allows the position sensor to sense positions of the electric motor, but also provides air-cooling functions for cooling the motor driver efficiently, thus improving product reliability. The position sensor may be an optical encoder or a capacitive sensor. Alternatively, one or more fins may be disposed within the electric motor and attached directly onto a rotor shaft of the electric motor to create a movement of air for cooling the motor driver directly and efficiently.
