  • Publication number: 20230134728
Abstract: Magnetic sensor for measuring an external magnetic field angle in a two-dimensional plane, including: a first and second sensing unit outputting, respectively, a first signal sin(?) and a second signal cos(?); a first multiplying DAC receiving the first signal and a first digital input sin(f*t) and outputting a first modulated output signal; a second multiplying DAC receiving the second signal and a second digital input cos(f*t) and outputting a second modulated output signal; a first RC filter receiving the first modulated output signal and outputting a first filtered signal sin(?)*sin(f*t+RCd); a second RC filter receiving the second modulated output signal and outputting a second filtered signal sin(?)*sin(f*t+RCd); an adder adding the first and second filtered signals and outputting a summed signal cos(f*t+RCd+?); and an angle extracting unit for measuring the phase delay between the summed signal and a synchronization signal and determining the angle from the phase delay.

  • Patent number: 9233581
Abstract: A display and a controller are used to implement a tire pressure optimization system for a vehicle. The controller is programmed to receive inflation pressure information indicative of a vehicle tire's inflation pressure, and identify an operating state of the vehicle as being in an optimum state when the inflation pressure information indicates optimum performance, in a warning state when the inflation pressure information indicates the inflation pressure is beyond a warning pressure threshold, or in an advisory state when the inflation pressure information indicates an undesirable performance characteristic outside of the warning state and the optimum state. The controller is programmed to operate the display to output an optimum state indication when the operating state is in the optimum state, a warning indication when the operating state is in the warning state, and an advisory indication when the operating state is in the advisory state.

  • Patent number: 9213407
Abstract: In one embodiment, an apparatus is provided that includes a ring, a detector, a processor, and a transmitter. The ring is configured to be worn on a finger. The detector, disposed within the ring, is operable to detect a motion associated with the finger. The processor, communicatively coupled to the detector, is operable to determine, based at least upon the motion, that a command should be sent to a mobile device. The transmitter, communicatively coupled to the processor, is operable to communicate the command to the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 9167076
Abstract: In one embodiment, an apparatus is provided that includes a ring, a receiver, a processor, and an indicator. The ring may be configured to be worn on a limb. The receiver may be disposed within the ring and may be operable to receive a signal communicated by a mobile device. The processor may be communicatively coupled to the receiver and operable to determine, based at least in part upon the received signal, that the mobile device received a message. The indicator may be communicatively coupled to the processor and operable to generate an alert in response to the determination that the mobile device received the message.

  • Patent number: 9056532
Abstract: A pressure detection device and a controller in communication with the device are used to implement a tire pressure optimization system for a vehicle. The pressure detection device detects a vehicle tire's inflation pressure. The controller is programmed to identify the vehicle as being in a warning state when the inflation pressure is below a warning low pressure threshold, identify the vehicle as being in an optimum state when the inflation pressure is within an optimum pressure range where the vehicle will exhibit optimum performance, and identify the vehicle as being in an advisory state when the inflation pressure is within an advisory pressure range where the vehicle will exhibit an undesirable performance characteristic. The advisory pressure range is outside of the optimum pressure range and above the warning low pressure threshold.
