  • Publication number: 20240406929
Abstract: A method may include accessing service data associated with a service and associated with a group of geographical regions. The method may also include assigning at least some of the service data of the group of geographical regions corresponding to a map tile. The method may include generating an initial batch of service data corresponding to the map tile, thereby generating initial batches of service data. The method may also include receiving, from a mobile device, a request to download map data corresponding a geographical area. The method may also include determining one or more map tiles corresponding to the geographical area. The method may also include determining a subset of the initial batches associated with the one or more map tiles corresponding to the geographical area. The method may also include providing, to the mobile device, the subset of the initial batches responsive to the request.

  • Publication number: 20220390242
Abstract: In some implementations, a computing device can present alight notifications to a user when the user (e.g., user device) is approaching a public transit stop where the user should depart the public transit vehicle the user is currently occupying. For example, a user may use a user device to generate a public transit route that includes a starting location, a sequence of public transit stops, and a destination location. While traversing the transit route, the user may need to exit public transit vehicle (e.g., to reach the destination location, to switch transit lines, etc.). The user device can identify transit stops along the route where the user should exit a transit vehicle and present notifications prompting the user to exit the transit vehicle at the upcoming stop as the user device approaches the identified transit stops.

  • Patent number: 5934615
Abstract: Articulating overhead luggage bin assemblies including a luggage bin that it is adapted for mounting to a support structure in a mass transit vehicle, such as an aircraft. The bins have an upper shroud portion, and a lower bucket portion, with cooperating means for interconnecting these two bin portions so that the bucket portion is guided downward and forward relative to the shroud, when the bin is opened. The cooperating means are "rigid" so that each end of the bucket moves in concert with the other, without need for a torque tube or other motion control device linking the bucket ends. The assembly also includes a downlock mechanism for holding the bin in a fully opened position. To close the bin, the downlock mechanism is disengaged by application of backward force to the bucket portion.
