  • Patent number: 11721939
Abstract: Systems, methods, devices, and connectors are described herein for a modular patient monitoring medical device. A new generation of physiological measurement devices, such as Intelligent Patient Front End Devices (IPFE) can provide updated algorithms, features, and software updates for parameter measurement devices without corresponding releases of a new version of host monitor software. IPFEs, together with patient sensors, comprise a complete physiological patient parameter measurement delivery system. A number and a type of parameter measurement devices can be configured to meet varied and changing clinical needs. Remote access to versions, logs, self-tests, settings, history, and/or measurements via the Internet to one or more parameter measurement devices can provide a unified service approach. The connector is configured to electrically connect any two or more devices and provides an electrical connection that can be simply physically or tactually confirmed.

  • Publication number: 20230157366
Abstract: There is provided a delivery system that includes a housing (6) having an opening (22) formed in a wall of the housing and through which a light source (29) within the housing can be seen. A battery (4) is contained within the housing so that the opening also functions as a vent to allow gases to escape from the housing through the opening, thereby preventing a build-up of pressure within the housing in the event that the battery is damaged In another embodiment, the housing (6) has an opening (22) in a wall of the housing through which lightfrom a light source (29) is visible and in which the opening is covered by a membrane (23). The membrane is such that the light is visible through the membrane.

  • Patent number: 8626097
Abstract: Described herein are systems, methods and apparatus for identifying signal degradation in a receiver. A process for identifying signal degradation includes determining a first signal strength of a signal received by the receiving device at a first time and determining a second signal strength of the received signal at a second time. The process further includes calculating a signal strength difference between the first signal strength and the second signal strength and determining whether the signal strength difference is greater than a first decision value. The process further includes outputting for presentation a message responsive to determining that the signal strength difference is greater than the first decision value, the message indicating to a user the degradation of the signal.

  • Publication number: 20070259177
Abstract: Disclosed are multicomponent fibers derived from a blend of a sulfopolyester with a water non-dispersible polymer wherein the as-spun denier is less than about 6 and wherein the water dispersible sulfopolyester exhibits a melt viscosity of less than 12,000 poise measured at 240° C. at a strain rate of 1 rad/sec, wherein the sulfopolyester comprising less than about 25 mole % of residues of at least one sulfomonomer, based on the total moles of diacid or diol residues, and wherein said poly(ethylene) terephthalate has an inherent viscosity of less than 0.55 dL/g. The multicomponent fiber is capable of being drawn at a relatively high fiber speed, particularly at least about 2000 m/min, and may be used to produce microdenier fibers. Fibrous articles may be produced from the multicomponent fibers and microdenier fibers. Also disclosed is a process for multicomponent fibers, nonwoven fabrics, and microdenier webs.
