  • Patent number: 12247583
Abstract: Integrally geared centrifugal compressor systems are described that include eccentric cartridges that house bearings and seals to maintain rotor concentricity for a variety of pinons integrated in a fixed gearbox design to provide multiple impeller speeds with a single gearbox design. In an aspect, a system includes, but is not limited to, a pinion configured to be rotated by a bull gear about a rotational axis; a rotor coupled to the pinion; and an eccentric cartridge configured to house a bearing assembly through which the rotor extends to support rotation of the rotor, the eccentric cartridge having an outer surface and an inner surface, wherein the inner surface is eccentric relative to the outer surface to align the rotational axis with a center axis of the bearing assembly.

  • Publication number: 20250067666
Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for extracting one or more imaging markers of a THz-TDS scan. An embodiment of a method includes obtaining an image of a sample using pulsed terahertz time-domain spectroscopy and determining the one or more imaging markers using a maximum a posteriori probability (MAP) estimation applied to the obtained image. The one or more imaging markers may be a refractive index and an absorption coefficient. An embodiment of a system includes a THz-TDS apparatus having a processor configured to perform a method of the present disclosure—for example, to determine the one or more imaging markers using a maximum a posteriori probability estimation.

  • Publication number: 20240128767
Abstract: A high-voltage (HV) system is provided including at least one HV component, a passive resistance load coupled to the at least one HV component, a control circuit coupled to the passive resistance load, and an isolated power supply coupled to the control circuit. The control circuit is switchable between a first state in which the control circuit closes an electric circuit connecting the at least one HV component and the passive resistance load and a second state in which the control circuit opens the electric circuit connecting the at least one HV component and the passive resistance load. The isolated power supply controls the control circuit to be in one of the first state and the second state.

  • Publication number: 20240110761
Abstract: An off-trigger safety training device for firearms and method of use. The off-trigger safety training device is removably attached to a firearm proximal to a trigger of the firearm. The off-trigger safety training device is positioned for longitudinal alignment with a barrel of the firearm and includes a concave recess oriented in alignment with the barrel of the firearm for receiving the operator's trigger finger. Longitudinally extending ribs protrude from a face of the concave recess permit the user to align their finger within the concave recess and receive a complementary longitudinal tactile engagement with the ribs for positive engagement of the trigger finger with the off-trigger safety training device.

  • Patent number: 7544518
Abstract: Analytical reagents and mass spectrometry-based methods using these reagents for the rapid, and quantitative analysis of proteins or protein function in mixtures of proteins. The methods employ affinity labeled protein reactive reagents having three portions: an affinity label (A) covalently linked to a protein reactive group (PRG) through a linker group (L). The linker may be differentially isotopically labeled, e.g., by substitution of one or more atoms in the linker with a stable isotope thereof. These reagents allow for the selective isolation of peptide fragments or the products of reaction with a given protein (e.g., products of enzymatic reaction) from complex mixtures. The isolated peptide fragments or reaction products are characteristic of the presence of a protein or the presence of a protein function in those mixtures. Isolated peptides or reaction products are characterized by mass spectrometric (MS) techniques.
