  • Patent number: 11915473
Abstract: A hybrid operation of a license plate recognition (LPR) system and infrastructure monitoring is provided. The system takes advantage of a first mode of operation of the LPR system, by running an infrastructure analytical tool which gathers infrastructure images in parallel with license plate detection. Analytics are applied, via a cloud based analytics engine, to provide detection of infrastructure anomalies, and prediction of potential infrastructure incidents. The system further generates a trigger alert warning of a potential infrastructure incident and recommendation to address the potential infrastructure incident.

  • Patent number: 10412772
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media for using access point name (APN) independent subscriber bindings. In some examples, a method is performed by a Diameter signaling router (DSR) for a telecommunications network. The method includes receiving, from a policy related node, a policy related message including a subscriber identifier associated with a subscriber; determining that the policy related message lacks APN information; after determining that the policy related message lacks APN information, using the subscriber identifier and preconfigured APN information to generate or identify a binding between the subscriber and a policy and charging rules function (PCRF) server of a pool of PCRF servers, or using the subscriber identifier to identify a first bound policy and charging rules function (PCRF) server of a pool of PCRF servers; and sending, to the identified PCRF server, the policy related message received from the policy related node.

  • Patent number: 10148766
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media for reconfiguring a session binding repository (SBR) database for a data communications network. In one example, a method includes, before reconfiguring the SBR database, selecting a first plurality of SBR servers for storage of a first plurality of SBR records using a first assignment algorithm. While reconfiguring the SBR database, the method includes selecting a second plurality of SBR servers for storage of a second plurality of SBR records using a second assignment algorithm and searching for a first plurality of stored records in the SBR database based on both the first and second assignment algorithms.

  • Patent number: 10102087
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media for managing suspect subscriber bindings. In some examples, a method is performed by a Diameter signaling router (DSR) for a telecommunications network. The method includes binding a subscriber to a first policy and charging rules function (PCRF) server selected from a plurality of PCRF servers for the telecommunications network. The method includes determining that one or more messages destined to the first PCRF server have failed according to one or more user-configurable rules defining failure. The method includes tearing down the binding between the subscriber and the first PCRF server.

  • Patent number: 8216867
Abstract: A wafer of light emitting diodes (LEDs) is laser scribed to produce a laser scribing cut. Then, the wafer is cleaned, for example by wet etching, to reduce scribe damage. Then, electrical contact layers for the LEDs are formed on the wafer that has been cleaned. Alternatively, the scribing cut may be produced by multiple etches before contact formation. Related LEDs are also described.

  • Publication number: 20110204553
Abstract: A part hanger is provided that engages a part being treated in a manner that orients the part so that treatment liquid tends to drain from the part. To this end, a part hanger is provided that is configured to suspend a part for treatment with a liquid. The part hanger includes one or more elongate members formed into a substantially U-shape having first and second side legs connected by a bottom leg. The first leg is configured to support a portion of the part from below at a first leg distal end. A hanger extension is connected at one end to a second leg distal end. The hanger extension is disposed substantially parallel to the bottom leg and terminates at a hanger extension distal end in a mounting feature. The hanger extension terminates prior to contacting the first leg distal end such that the first leg distal end and the mounting feature define a part clearance gap through which at least a portion of the part may extend into the U-shape.

  • Publication number: 20060137041
Abstract: The present invention provides methods of selecting plants having modified transpiration efficiency using plant ERECTA gene sequences and nucleic acids linked thereto, and to methods of producing plants having modified transpiration efficiency using isolated plant ERECTA gene sequences, in both traditional plant breeding and genetic engineering approaches. The invention further extends to plants produced by the methods described.

  • Patent number: 6632060
Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus and method for pre-registering boards for use in, for example, the manufacture of looseleaf binders and packaging products. Boards are dropped onto the base plate by an automatic process. Spine guides enable the spine portion of the boards to be secured for subsequent registering. The movement of the spine guides allows the spine portion of the boards to be placed accurately. The spine guides are attached to a spine guide rack which is located on the underside of the base plate. The spine guide rack operates through the use of pneumatic cylinders and enables the movement of the attached spine guides. The spine guides move along a spine guide trench and secure boards on the base plate. The spine guides are retracted when the boards are initially placed on the base plate and then start moving medially to squeeze the spine portion of the board such that it becomes perpendicular to the x-axis.
