  • Patent number: 10384264
Abstract: A material deposition head may include a ring configured to rotate about a first body portion and cause axial translation of the first body portion relative to a second body portion, where one or more nozzles are coupled to the first body portion. In some examples, at least one anti-rotation pin may substantially prevent rotation of the first body portion while the first body portion axially translates, and a seal may substantially prevent external contaminants from invading an interior portion of the material deposition head. In addition, a pointer tool attached to the head and an external translational measurement tool may permit measurement of an axial position of the one or more nozzles without requiring disassembly of the head or disruption of a substantially inert environment within which additive manufacturing may proceed. A method of axially translating the first body portion of the head also is disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20070100858
Abstract: Techniques are provided for capturing data which satisfy data requirements of a particular data capture process. Schema including input requests for the data which satisfy the data requirements of the particular data capture process are specified. The schema can then be transformed into a template which includes the input requests and which conforms to the schema. The template can then be interpreted, and the input requests can be presented to a data provider. Structured data which satisfy the data requirements of the particular data capture process can then be generated based on responses to the input requests.

  • Publication number: 20060041459
Abstract: A method for total effective cost management in an organization includes creating a maintenance plan for the organization, the maintenance plan including at least one task performed during maintenance of the organization. Then, a plurality of different maintenance schedules are created for performing the task(s) of the maintenance plan. A total effective cost (TEC) associated with each maintenance schedule is then determined based upon a cost and an availability associated with the maintenance schedule, the availability being based upon a down time and a mission time associated with the maintenance schedule. Thereafter, a maintenance schedule is selected from the plurality of different maintenance schedules based upon the TEC for each maintenance schedule.

  • Publication number: 20060026151
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for collecting desired information from information that relates to a specific situation within the context of a specific work environment, wherein the information comprises extraneous information and the desired information. A template that relates to the specific situation can be opened and interpreted at a computing device to generate queries presented to a user for extracting the desired information from the information. A user can input responses to the queries, and a completed template can be generated based on the responses. The completed template includes the desired information. The completed template can be submitted to an information management system.

  • Patent number: 6062172
Abstract: The present invention comprises substantially an animal head support device and method of use to adjustably and comfortably support the head of an anaesthetized animal during medical treatment or other procedures. The device includes a ring for receiving the head of an animal there through, a support means, such as a rope, for supporting the ring from an overhead structure, and a padded chin rest. The device may further include a cam cleat that allows for variable height adjustment. An alternative embodiment is disclosed which provides a ground mounted support device in which a flexible stand supports a U-shaped ring that in turn supports the head of the animal.
