Patent number: 9898082Abstract: A gaze tracking system uses visible light to track the pose of an eye. A display screen displays a display image, while a camera captures images of the eye. The images captured by the camera include a reflection of the display screen, reflecting from the cornea of the eye. The position of the reflection depends on the orientation of the eye. The system is trained on a set of training images. Each training image is captured by the camera while the eye looks at a different, known gaze point in the display screen. The system may track gaze of the eye, while the eye is looking at a calibrated image that has been displayed during training.
