Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for encouraging product referrals, including providing rewards in response to accepting a purchase transaction request for the referred product, executing a purchase transaction related to the request, and receiving referring consumer identification data. Referring consumer identification may be transmitted to the first electronic device after an account is created. A product data request relating to a referred product may be received from a first electronic device associated with a referring consumer, and the product data may be transmitted to the first electronic device. A purchase transaction request for the referred product and the referring consumer identification may be received from a second electronic device associated with a referred consumer. A reward may be provided to the referring consumer in response to executing the purchase transaction, and may be based on the purchase transaction request. A purchase reward for the referred product may also be provided.

The protective case includes an upper assembly and a bottom assembly attachable to (and separable from) the upper assembly to form a watertight inner cavity therebetween. The resulting profile (i.e., external shape) of the protective case mirrors that of the mobile device installed therein. More particularly, the protective case generally includes a top surface, a bottom surface, and spaced-apart inner and outer perimeters extending between the top and bottom surfaces. The top surface of the case is made up of or includes the top surfaces of various other components of the case, and those component top surfaces are flush with one another such that the top surface of the case is completely flat (i.e., does not include an obtrusive raised protective rim).

Abstract: A door securement system for a protective case for housing a mobile device is provided. The protective case comprises a top shell that covers a top surface of a device and a bottom shell that cradles the back of the device. Where upper and lower backing elements are used that meet at a parting line along the outer (exterior) surface of the bottom shell, a locking mechanism may be used to pull the backing elements together and hold them in place. A multi-hinged door is positioned along a portion of the protective case to allow access to ports of the mobile device. The door has open, shut and sealed configurations.

The protective case is equipped with a communications module that may include a transceiver or transmitter configured for transmitting and receiving wireless communication signals without the assistance of any wireless communication circuitry within the wireless communication device. The communications module may be configured to enable communication between the protective case and one or more remote communication devices via a short range network. The communications module may be activated by a push-to-talk switch or the like, and may be powered by an integral auxiliary power source that may also be used to power or recharge the wireless communication device. The case may also include a processor or printed circuit board capable of interfacing with a processor of the wireless communication device.

Abstract: A writing device for marking on a capacitive touch screen and a paper substrate is disclosed. The device features a writing tip deployable through a hole in a conductive rubber stylus tip. The stylus tip connects to a distal end of a shaft. The stylus tip may be held in place by a ring. Electric connection is formed from a human user, through the shaft, and to the stylus tip onto the touch screen when a sufficient contact patch if formed through pressing lightly on the stylus tip. The stylus tip may be coated with a protective material that adjusts the coefficient of friction and prevents carbon from depositing on the touch screen. The writing tip (e.g., pen or pencil) moves from a working position where it extends through a hole in the stylus tip to a position where it is disposed within a hollow cavity formed by the stylus tip.

The device may be secured by friction fitting into a recessed area having two ridges to engage the device along two edges. The device may be inserted by sliding or snap fitting into the recessed area. An opening along the back of the recessed area allows the device to be pushed laterally or vertically from the retention member. Alternatively, the retention member may be a two-piece frame which partially encloses the device. The frame pieces affix to either a wristband strap or a carabiner clip shank as they are secured to one another.

Abstract: A computer-based system for idea capture, organization and management is shown. The system presents a creation template for capturing ideas and building digital content onto electronic notes. The e-notes may be migrated over on to an electronic board in an organization template. In the latter case, e-notes may be grouped, repositioned, deleted, or copied. Multiple users can access the e-board, and it can be saved or sent as a converted image file or PDF. The e-board has multiple layers, allowing for marking directly on the e-board. Various other features and aspects of the system designed to facilitate group collaboration and team development are disclosed.
