  • Publication number: 20230308985
Abstract: A wireless transmit / receive unit, WTRU, connects to a first AP, receives domain identifiers, requests corresponding descriptors and receives a list of descriptors. An application on the WTRU requests a list of domains and attributes corresponding to service names or service sets, which is returned by the WTRU. The application selects one or more domains for communications, the WTRU selects corresponding network resources and the application connects to local services. After moving to a new location, the WTRU connects to a second AP and receives a second set of domain identifiers, selects the one matching the request from the application and provides these to the application that, with the aid of the WTRU connects to local services.

  • Publication number: 20230156094
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems, architectures and interfaces for a wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) performing discovery of Edge Network Management (ENM) servers are provided. A method may include any of: transmitting any of a discover message, an inform message, and a request message including information indicating a request for discovery of ENM servers; receiving any of an offer message and an acknowledgement message including server information indicating any number of ENM servers associated with the request for discovery of ENM servers; and performing communications with any of the ENM servers for which there is received server information.

  • Patent number: 8320923
Abstract: A method for validating radio resource control (RRC) messages begins by receiving a RRC message at a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) from a radio access network. A determination is made at the WTRU whether the message is valid by applying a predetermined validation rule. The WTRU accepts the message if the message is valid. The WTRU rejects the message if the message is not valid. The message is rejected unless a new transport format combination set (TFCS) is provided, until the WTRU enters a CELL_DCH state, or both.

  • Publication number: 20090178057
Abstract: The application relates to various aspects for modeling software, preferably for use in wireless communication devices. One aspect relates to targeting a software model to a plurality of different operating systems/operating system combinations. Another aspect relates to abstracting the operating environment to an operating system/operating system combination. Another aspect relates to handling inter-processor communication. Another aspect relates to a common time manager.

  • Patent number: 7526777
Abstract: The invention relates to various aspects for modeling software, preferably for use in wireless communication devices. One aspect relates to targeting a software model to a plurality of different operating systems/operating system combinations. Another aspect relates to porting the software model to an operating environment common to all operating systems. Another aspect relates to abstracting the operating environment to an operating system/operating system combination. Another aspect relates to handling inter-processor communication. Another aspect relates to a common time manager. Another aspect relates to porting code developed using a single thread modeling tool to a multiple threaded environment. Another aspect relates to synchronizing groups of threads.

  • Patent number: 7506340
Abstract: An operating environment is capable of being abstracted to a plurality of operating systems. An operating environment is provided which is common to all the different operating systems. A plurality of operating system abstraction layers are provided. Each abstraction layer designed to abstract the operating environment to at least one targeted operating system.

  • Patent number: 7409682
Abstract: A porting layer takes software developed using a single threaded modeling tool to a multiple threaded environment. The single threaded modeling tool is used to model the software. The porting layer ports in variables into a multiple threaded operating environment by reference and not as variables so that each thread can access variables by reference.
