The electronic component includes windings that are intertwined about the core to form an intertwined spiral winding. Such a configuration can both improve electrical characteristics of the electronic component while reducing a height of the electronic component. Further, methods of manufacturing such components and customizing same are disclosed.

Abstract: An implantable device and method of manufacture include a substantially hermetic polychlorotrifluoroethylene (PCTFE) enclosure with closely-spaced wires extending out of the enclosure. The implantable device includes a PCTFE first portion of an enclosure and a PCTFE second portion of the enclosure. The first and second portions are configured to mate with each other to form the enclosure. A plurality of insulated wires extend between the first and second portions of the enclosure. Each of the insulated wires are parallel to each other and separated by less than 150 micrometers (?m) from a neighboring wire. A thermal weld seam of PCTFE is disposed between the first portion of the enclosure and the second portion of the enclosure and conformally adheres around insulation of each wire such that the enclosure is sealed.

Abstract: A news aggregation server aggregates and monetizes restricted news content. The news aggregation server fetches the restricted news content from multiple news source servers that are remote from the news aggregation server. The news aggregation server aggregates the fetched restricted news content and searches the aggregated news content based on input received from a client. The news aggregation server provides access to selected news content from the aggregated news content that is relevant to the client input and charges the user a price for accessing the selected restricted news content.

Abstract: Systems and methods for implementing CAN communication for building automation systems are disclosed. An exemplary system may comprise at least one sending device linked to a plurality of receiving devices over a CAN automation network. A control frame may be broadcast over the CAN automation network by the at least one sending device, the control frame encapsulated into a CAN extended data frame. An acceptance filter may be provided at each of the plurality of receiving devices, each of the plurality of receiving devices reading the control frame from the CAN extended data frame and determining if the receiving device is a target device based on the control frame. Device communication may also be implemented as methods for dynamic address assignment and firmware download.

Abstract: Methods and systems for providing hyperlinks to blogs that are maintained by members of a social network who have a particular association or relationship with a member of the social network in response to a request are described. A request for blog information may come from a member of the social network or from non-members. In order to gather the blog information, an association type (or association) associated with the request may be identified by a software application. After identifying the association, members of the social network who have the identified association with the member of interest may be identified using profile information associated with the member of interest. Once members having the identified association with the member of interest are identified, blog information for each identified member may be determined. Once the blog information is identified, a representation of the blog information (for example, a text-based display with hyperlinks) may be generated.
