Publication number: 20260024404Abstract: A system and method for facilitating wagers at a live gaming table are disclosed. The system utilizes a remote system to store a first player's electronic fund account and a local table system with player interface devices to facilitate a transaction. The transaction involves receiving an input at a first player's interface device to select a second player, receiving a subsequent input to place a wager on an outcome of the second player's hand, debiting the wager from the first player's electronic account, and crediting any resulting award to the first player's electronic account.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 29, 2025Publication date: January 22, 2026Inventors: Ryan Masao YEE, Jeremy HALTER, Mark LOWELL, Scott HILBERT, Dat TA, Sridhar GONDESI, William JONES, Joseph R. Publication number: 20260011212Abstract: A gaming machine includes at least one image sensor for capturing an image including a player area associated with the gaming machine and logic circuitry in communication with the image sensor. The logic circuitry establishes a facial image mask defining an area of interest within the player area, receives the captured image from the image sensor, applies the facial image mask to the captured image to extract player image data from the captured image data, detects any faces within the player image data, compares, in response to detecting a face of a player within the player image data, the detected face with a player database to identify a player account associated with the player, and links, in response to identifying a matching player account based on the comparison, the matching player account to activities of the player at the gaming machine.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 12, 2025Publication date: January 8, 2026Inventors: Scott HILBERT, Martin LYONS, Rolland STEIL

Publication number: 20250356721Abstract: A token sensor for a gaming table and a related system and method are provided. In a typical configuration, multiple token sensors are positioned at respective locations of a game layout installed above a cushioning layer of the gaming table that covers a support surface (top) of the gaming table. In accordance with some embodiments, each token sensor includes an electronic display for displaying a randomly selected potential award. Each potential award may be won when a token has been detected by its associated sensor and a qualifying hand occurs at its respective location. In some embodiments, a qualifying hand is not required for the displayed award to be won. The potential awards may include progressive awards and award modifiers such as multipliers. The token sensor may include one or more gesture sensor subassemblies to detect and signal movement of hands or objects above the token sensor.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 12, 2025Publication date: November 20, 2025Inventors: Scott HILBERT, Joseph R. HEDRICK, Frank A. SCARPA, Jr., Matt MOSES, Collin Patrick MOORE, Miguel A. VEGA, Dhaval SHAH, Matthew J. LUCCHETTI, Kristofer PIZER, Daniel AMBROSE, Matthew BOOTH

Patent number: 12430983Abstract: At least one example of the present disclosure includes a system having a gaming table, a sensor embedded into the gaming table, and a user interface device. The sensor is configured to sense an action that occurs at a player station of the gaming table. The user interface device is associated with the player station (e.g., at the player station, in communicative connection with a device at the player station, etc.). The user interface device is configured to one or more of present, via a video display in response to the sensed action, a bonus feature, or access, via a casino network in response to the sensed action, a player electronic fund account. Access to the player electronic fund account can include use of electronic funds from the player electronic fund account for one or more games available at the gaming table.Type: GrantFiled: April 11, 2024Date of Patent: September 30, 2025Assignee: LNW Gaming, Inc.Inventors: Ryan Masao Yee, Jeremy Halter, Mark Lowell, Scott Hilbert, Dat Ta, Sridhar Gondesi, William Jones, Joseph R. Publication number: 20250037534Abstract: A token sensor for a gaming table and a related system and method are provided. In a typical configuration, multiple token sensors are positioned at respective locations of a game layout installed above a cushioning layer of the gaming table that covers a top of the gaming table. Top surfaces of the token sensors lie flush with or slightly above the top surface of the game layout. Each token sensor includes a plurality of paired light radiation emitters and light radiation detectors. When none of the detectors receive light from their paired emitter, the presence of a token is indicated. Such planar detection of the presence of a token allows the upper surface of the sensor to be used for other purposes when presence of a token is not expected. Each token sensor may thus include a touchscreen display for the issuance and acceptance of game information and commands.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 23, 2024Publication date: January 30, 2025Inventors: Scott HILBERT, Joseph R. HEDRICK, Frank A. SCARPA, JR., Matt MOSES, Collin Patrick MOORE, Miguel A. VEGA, Dhaval SHAH, Matthew J. LUCCHETTI, Kristofer PIZER

Patent number: 10643423Abstract: A system, digital table and method for binding a mobile device to a location on the digital table are disclosed. The digital table has a transparent substrate, a diffuse cloth layer having the feel of felt and suitable for backlighting with an interposed compressible layer. A wireless table transceiver is provided to detect a mobile device on the table and to cause the mobile device to emit a code with its camera flash detected by an optical receiver to bind the mobile device to a specific location on the gaming table surface. Content such as digital images or lighting arrangements are directed through the substrate and compressible layer to the underside of the cloth where they are visible at the cloth layer adjacent to the mobile device location. In an embodiment the orientation of the mobile device may be determined for configuring content. Interaction between the mobile device and table is supported to move virtual items such as gaming chips between the mobile device and the digital table.Type: GrantFiled: September 22, 2017Date of Patent: May 5, 2020Assignee: SG Gaming, Inc.Inventors: Martin Lyons, Scott Hilbert
