  • Publication number: 20240241100
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and kits for detection of substances in water by forming a complex with an indicator reagent and filtering the complex on a filter or membrane are described. The concentrated indicator on the filter, membrane or other capture device provides a colorimetric readout that can determine the amount of substance present in a water sample. A computer-implemented method for determining the concentration of substances in water based on color data from the colorimetric readout is also described.

  • Publication number: 20110271813
Abstract: A cutting die for cutting a plurality of parts of an article of footwear from a bulk material. The cutting die includes a first cutting member that cuts a first part of the article of footwear from the bulk material. The cutting die also includes a second cutting member that cuts a second part of the article of footwear from the bulk material. The second cutting member is fixed to the first cutting member to cut the first and second parts together with a single stroke of the cutting die relative to the bulk material. The first and second parts are separate and distinct from each other and have different shapes.

  • Patent number: 4931323
Abstract: This invention discloses a method of forming a conductor on a copper conductor on a semiconductor interconnection surface. A paste of copper material is formed over at least a portion of the semiconductor interconnection surface. A laser beam is directed against the paste. The laser beam is moved along the paste in accordance with a pattern to define the conductor. The laser beam fires and sinters the paste to form the conductor. The remaining paste which remains unfired is removed. The surface and the fired paste is then maintained in an inert atmosphere while heated to a sufficient temperature to provide a high quality copper conductor on the surface.

  • Patent number: 3987588
Abstract: A formed sheet metal rectangular-shaped frame is positioned between two sheet metal side panels which may be embossed to provide the appearance of small wood panels. The frame includes an elongated frame member for each edge of the door, and each frame member has two outwardly facing parallel spaced channel portions integrally connected by a center web portion. Extruded plastic trim members cover the top and side frame members and include longitudinally extending hook-shaped leg portions which project into the channel portions and snap-fit onto inwardly formed edge portions of the side panels. A foam insulation material is expanded between the side panels and also serves to space the side panels laterally from the frame to form a thermal barrier. The side trim members are interrupted or notched to receive the door hinges and a latch bolt housing which seat on the web portions of the corresponding frame members.

  • Patent number: 3981054
Abstract: The base section of a burial casket supports an internal latch mechanism which is effective to engage keepers projecting downwardly from a pivotally supported cover section and to draw the cover section firmly against a resilient gasket member disposed between the base and cover sections. The gasket member is molded as a one-piece rectangular frame and includes parallel spaced peripherally extending sealing portions, the inner portion having an inverted U-shaped wall configuration and the outer portion having generally a V-shaped wall configuration. The latch mechanism includes a rotary actuator having an externally threaded coupling portion projecting to a circular opening within the front wall of the base section. A resilient sealing ring or grommet is mounted within the opening, and a cap-like closure member includes a tubular coupling portion which projects through the opening and threadably engages the coupling portion of the rotary actuator.
