  • Patent number: 11938067
Abstract: A patient containment system for securing a patient to a patient transport apparatus, comprising a first lower strap and a second lower strap. Each of the first lower strap and the second lower strap have a thigh region, a waist region, and a connection region arranged between the thigh region and the waist region. A first connector is coupled to the connection region of the first lower strap. A second connector is coupled to the connection region of the second lower strap, and is configured to releasably attach to the first connector to at least partially limit movement of the first lower strap relative to the second lower strap. The connection region defines a connection width, and the thigh region defines a thigh width larger than the connection width.

  • Patent number: 11918742
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a filter apparatus for filtering liquid from a gas, the apparatus having a first housing having a gas inlet and a gas outlet; a first filter media disposed in the first housing; a second filter media disposed in the housing; and a second housing forming a first collection basin disposed in the flow path between the first filter media and the second filter media, so that a path is defined for the gas flowing from the inlet, through the first filter media, past the collection basin, through the second filter media, and to the outlet. The present disclosure also relates to a method of passing a gas through a coalescing filter media and through a hydrophobic filter media.

  • Publication number: 20230355909
Abstract: A trap bowl is provided to accumulate liquid droplets from a filter, as a liquid content. The trap bowl includes a transparent vertical prism. The transparent vertical prism includes a face that forms a vertical transparent surface facing against a content of the section. The face can provide a first angle of total reflection when content of the section is a type of gas, and a second angle of total reflection when the content of the section is the liquid content. A light source may emit a light beam incident on the face at an angle of incidence. The angle of incidence results in reflection of the light beam, striking the light receiver, when the face has the first angle of total reflection, and results in refraction of the light beam, missing the light receiver, when the face has the second angle of total reflection.

  • Patent number: 11540960
Abstract: A stair chair for use in transporting a patient in a seated position along stairs comprising a base, an upright coupled to the base, and a track assembly extending from the base for traversing stairs. A seat section is operatively attached to the upright and arranged for movement relative to the base between a plurality of vertical configurations including a first vertical configuration where the seat section is spaced from the base at a first distance for supporting the patient in the seated position, and a second vertical configuration where the seat section is spaced from the base at a second distance greater than the first distance. A lift mechanism is interposed between the base and the seat section to move the seat section between the plurality of vertical configurations. The lift mechanism moves the seat section to facilitate transitioning the patient to a standing position from the seated position.

  • Patent number: 10294642
Abstract: A lavatory system includes a basin having a water collecting area having a back wall, a bottom wall, and a front wall. The back wall of the water collecting area is proximate the wall on which the lavatory system is mounted. Further, an opening may extend through the front wall. The lavatory system also includes a hand dryer having a blower located below the water collecting area and a first plenum having an input and an output. The input is connected to the blower to receive a first air flow from the blower, and the output is aligned with the opening in the front wall of the water collecting area to deliver the first air flow from the front wall over the water collecting area.

  • Patent number: 10172498
Abstract: A lavatory system includes a hand dryer with at least a first proximity sensor and a second proximity sensor to detect an object for drying. A controller is communicatively linked to the first and second proximity sensors. The controller activates a drying operation after a first delay period if the first proximity sensor first detects the object for drying and activates a drying operation after a second delay period if the second proximity sensor first detects the object for drying. A filter flow sensor may also be provided to ensure proper filtering of the dryer's air.
