  • Patent number: 7066097
Abstract: A table or desk includes a worksurface and leg structure, and a wire management arrangement located below the worksurface. The wire management arrangement includes upper and lower wire management members that support wires or cables for providing power and/or communication capability to the worksurface, and front and rear access covers which are movable between open and closed positions for providing access to the wire management members. The rear access cover provides access to the lower wire management member, and engages the upper wire management member when in the closed position. A portion of the upper wire management member above the rear access cover is exposed, to mount power outlets that can be accessed from the rear of the worksurface. The front access cover is engaged with the worksurface when in the closed position, and provides access to both the upper and lower wire management members when in the open position.

Abstract: A table or desk unit includes a worksurface and leg structure, and a wire management arrangement located below the worksurface. The wire management arrangement includes upper and lower wire management members that support wires or cables for providing power and/or communication capability to items or equipment on the worksurface, and front and rear access covers which are movable between open and closed positions for providing access to the upper and lower wire management members. The rear access cover is configured to provide access to the lower wire management member, and engages the upper wire management member when in the closed position. • Patent number: 6396019
Abstract: A holder on an electric welding machine manages the machine cables and guns. The holder comprises a box that fits in a cutout in the machine top cover. The box has open front and top sides. At least one socket is supported in the box. A door is hinged to the box for pivoting between open and closed positions. When the door is in the closed position, it covers the box and conceals the sockets. The box and closed door are generally flush with the machine top cover. When the door is pivoted to the open position, it exposes the sockets, and a wall of the door is horizontal. The cable can then be hung from the open door, and the guns can be stored in the sockets. The door is retained in the open position by the cooperation of fingers on the door and depressions in the box. In a modified embodiment, the sockets are supported in the door, and they are rotatable on the door between retracted and working locations.

  • Patent number: 5948296
Abstract: An adapter enables a conventional MIG welding machine to successfully use spoked wire wheels on which weld wire is wound. The adapter assembles over a rotatable hub that is also conventional. The adapter has a notch that mates without backlash with a post on the hub, thereby assuring that the hub and adapter rotate together. The adapter also has tabs that engage spokes of the wire wheel without backlash. Accordingly, the wire wheel and hub rotate together without backlash. A frictional drag on the hub is transmitted by the adapter to the wire wheel, so that normal operation of the welding machine does not cause wire wheel coasting and unraveling of the weld wire. The adapter allows field retrofit of existing welding machines so they can use the wire wheel in place of prior wire spools. In a modified embodiment, the adapter is made of two parts that are angularly adjustable relative to each other to enable the adapter to engage the spokes of different wire wheels.
