  • Publication number: 20200405937
Abstract: A spectroscopic detection system includes a sensor configured to reflect light of a first wavelength associated with a presence of a reference substance on the sensor and configured to reflect light of a second wavelength associated with a presence of a monitored substance on the sensor, wherein the monitored substance flows to the sensor from a circulating fluid. The spectroscopic detection system further includes a detector that has first and second channels for respectively receiving the light of the first and second wavelengths reflected from the sensor and one or more processors in electrical communication with the detector and configured to identify an excess condition of the monitored substance with respect to the circulating fluid based on a ratio of a second amount of the light of the second wavelength received at the detector to a first amount of the light of the first wavelength received at the detector.

  • Patent number: 10876846
Abstract: A navigation system can identify locations of interest at a route destination. Those locations of interest at the destination can fall within a predetermined distance of the destination or those that are responsive to a query that includes the destination as a parameter. The navigation system can receive a selection of an identified location of interest near the destination, and update a route to terminate at the identified location of interest rather than the original destination. Information identifying the origin and destination for the route can be collected at a first user device and the route can be displayed at a second user device. Additional information is then received from the first user device (such as a selection of an identified location of interest near the destination). This additional information received at the first user device is used to update the route that is displayed on the second user device.

  • Patent number: 10825501
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for operating a memory cell or memory cells are described. Cells of a memory array may be pre-written, which may include writing the cells to one state while a sense component is isolated from digit lines of the array. Read or write operations may be executed at the sense component while the sense component is isolated, and the cell may be de-isolated (e.g., connected to the digit lines) when write operations are completed. The techniques may include techniques accessing a memory cell of a memory array, isolating a sense amplifier from a digit line of the memory array based at least in part on the accessing of the cell, firing the sense amplifier, and pre-writing the memory cell of the memory array to a second data state while the sense amplifier is isolated. In some examples, the memory cell may include a ferroelectric memory cell.

  • Publication number: 20200324341
Abstract: The nozzles of a MHD liquid metal ejector/printhead can be clogged by contaminants in the liquid metal. Typically, these contaminants are in the form of small particles of aggregates of particles, such as metal oxides, that are insoluble in the liquid metal. Possible cleaning methods include mechanically removing the clogging material, such as by using a physical device to dislodge the clogging material and remove it; chemically removing the clogging material, such as by using selected chemicals/flux to chemically react with the clogging material; using ultrasound to break/remove the clogging material; and providing reversed and/or oscillating flow of material through the nozzle.

  • Publication number: 20200262133
Abstract: A method of additive manufacturing includes jetting liquid material on a workpiece defining an uphill local surface and a downhill local surface. A printhead moves relative to the workpiece in a process direction, over the uphill local surface and the downhill local surface. Liquid material is jetted from the moving printhead onto the uphill local surface of the workpiece at a first predetermined spatial resolution. In a first approach, the printhead is controlled to refrain from jetting liquid material onto the downhill local surface of the workpiece. In a second approach, a local slope of the workpiece is determined, and a spatial resolution for jetting liquid material onto the local surface is determined as a function of the local slope.

  • Publication number: 20200219175
Abstract: The techniques, methods, systems, and other mechanisms described herein include processes for determining if customized content should be generated, what information to include in the customized content, and when to provide the customized content. In general, a computing system determines that a user intends to travel to a physical venue. The computing system can determine if an entity associated with the physical venue has a web page. The computing system can determine various aspects of a predicted route of travel from the user's present location to the physical venue. The computing system can use location information indicating the user's current location and determine one or more routes of travel to the physical venue. The computing system can compare one or more determined aspects of the predicted route to threshold values to determine if customized content should be generated and presented to the user.

  • Patent number: 10706907
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for operating a ferroelectric memory cell or cells are described. A portion of charge of a memory cell may be captured and, for example, stored using a capacitor or intrinsic capacitance of the memory array that includes the memory cell. The memory cell may be recharged (e.g., re-written). The memory cell may then be read, and a voltage of the memory cell may be compared to a voltage resulting from the captured charge. A logic state of the memory cell may be determined based at least in part on the voltage comparison.
