  • Patent number: 11792257
Abstract: Systems and methods herein provide for a form engine communicatively coupled to a storage system to retrieve a plurality of graphical control elements from a first of the source systems. The form engine generates a template that controls placement of the graphical control elements into the electronic document based on user-selectable cartesian coordinates, and persists the template in the storage system according to the compartmentalized portion of the first source system. The form engine may then authenticate a first user of the first source system, import an electronic file at the direction of the user, retrieve the template from the storage system, and format placement of the graphical control elements in the electronic file according to the cartesian coordinates of the template and a scale of the electronic file to generate an electronic form for the first source system.

  • Patent number: 11760971
Abstract: Methods for improving the ability of a population of biological agents to compete and survive in a field setting are provided. The modified population of agents is able to grow, compete with other microbial strains and fungi, and provide protection for plants from pathogens. Modified biological agents and modified populations of such agents that are herbicide tolerant or resistant are selected or engineered. In this manner, the protection from disease-causing agents is enhanced. Such modified populations can be added to soils to prevent fungal pathogens and associated diseases, promoting plant growth. The present invention is useful for enhancing the competitiveness of modified biological agents particularly over other microbial agents which are not herbicide resistant. Compositions include selected or engineered herbicide resistant biological agents and modified populations of biocontrol agents. These modified biological agents can be used as an inoculant or as a seed coating for plants and seeds.

  • Publication number: 20230290927
Abstract: There is disclosed a method of connecting a lithium electrode to a contact lead in a rechargeable battery. The electrode comprises a sheet or foil of lithium or lithium alloy with a tab protruding from an edge of the sheet or foil. The contact lead comprises an electrically conductive lead with an end portion made of a second metal that does not alloy with lithium and has a plurality of through holes. The end portion of the contact lead and the tab of the electrode are positioned so that there is substantial overlap between the end portion and the tab. The metal of the tab is then caused, for example by pressing and welding, to penetrate through the through holes of the end portion so as to join the electrode to the contact lead. A combination electrode/contact lead assembly made by this method is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20230288234
Abstract: A smoke detector includes detector mount that can define a cavity into which air can flow to a detector component of a detector body engaged with the detector mount. The detector mount can include a base, e.g., that defines a cavity into which air can flow and/or into which a portion of the detector body can extend, and an intermediate component that can removably engage with both the base and the detector body so the base is engaged with the detector body via the intermediate component. The intermediate component can include fins or other features to direct air flow in the cavity to one or more portions of the detector body.

  • Publication number: 20230274937
Abstract: Self-aligned FET devices and associated fabrication methods are disclosed herein. A disclosed process for forming a FET includes forming a first mask, implanting a deep well region in a drift region using the first mask, forming a spacer in contact with the first mask, and implanting a shallow well region in the drift region using the first mask and the spacer. A disclosed FET includes a drift region, a shallow well region, a deep well region located between the shallow well region and the drift region, and a junction field effect region: in contact with the shallow well region, the drift region, and the deep well region; and having a junction field effect doping concentration of the first conductivity type. The FETs can include a hybrid channel formed by a portion of the junction field effect region, as influenced by the deep well region, and the shallow well region.

  • Publication number: 20230245553
Abstract: A smoke detector includes a tamper indicator that can prevent a cover from at least partially covering a battery location and/or mounting of a detector body to a detector mount if a battery is not located at the battery location of the detector body. The detector mount and/or cover can engage with the detector body by relative rotation about an engagement axis, and the tamper indicator can pivot about a pivot axis that is parallel to the engagement axis and/or move along a linear path. The tamper indicator can prevent engagement of a portion of the detector mount, such as an intermediate component between the detector body and a base of the detector mount, with the detector body. The intermediate component can at least partially cover the battery location when engaged with the detector body. The base of the detector mount can engage with the detector body via the intermediate component.

  • Patent number: 11713648
Abstract: A proppant container facilitates the transportation of wet sand for use in a hydraulic fracturing operation. The proppant container is provided with a system for dislodging the wet sand for subsequent use. This may be done by use of a vibrator or an umbrella valve. In another aspect, the proppant container may be used in combination with a rack having a wash system that slurries the proppant for delivery to a blender tub without necessarily resorting to use of a conveyor belt.

  • Patent number: 11688067
Abstract: In one embodiment, an automated high-speed X-ray inspection system may generate a first X-ray image of an inspected sample at a first direction substantially orthogonal to a plane of the inspected sample. The first X-ray image may be a high-resolution grayscale image. The system may identify one or more elements of interest of the inspected sample based on the first X-ray image. The first X-ray image may include interfering elements that interfere with the one or more elements of interest in the first X-ray image. The system may determine one or more first features associated with respective elements of interest based on variations of grayscale values in the first X-ray images. The system may determine whether one or more defects are associated with the respective elements of interest based on the one or more first features associated with the element of interest.
