  • Publication number: 20240121180
Abstract: A network interface controller (NIC) capable of efficient operation management for host accelerators is provided. The NIC can be equipped with a host interface and triggering logic block. During operation, the host interface can couple the NIC to a host device. The triggering logic block can obtain, via the host interface from the host device, an operation associated with an accelerator of the host device. The triggering logic block can determine whether a triggering condition has been satisfied for the operation based on an indicator received from the accelerator. If the triggering condition has been satisfied, the triggering logic block can obtain a piece of data generated from the accelerator from a memory location and execute the operation using the piece of data.

  • Patent number: 10296981
Abstract: Proposed is a system and a method for a parametric risk transfer system based on automated location-dependent probabilistic tropical storm risk and storm impact forecast, wherein weather measuring parameters of weather events are measured by means of a plurality of delocalized distributed weather flow stations and transmitted to a central system, and wherein the measured weather measuring parameters at least comprise measuring parameters of wind speed and/or maximum wind speed within a predefined time frame. A spatial high-resolution grid comprising grid cells is generated over a geographical area of interest, and a wind field profile is dynamically generated, wherein by triggering an indexed wind field parameter of the wind field profile exceeding a predefined trigger, an output activation signal is generated based on the wind field parameter and transmitted to an associated activation device, wherein the operation of the activation device is steered by the transmitted output activation signal.

  • Patent number: 7660726
Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for an Indemnitee to verify insurance coverage of an Indemnitor, including the steps of at least two parties entering into a contractual relationship that obligates the Indemnitor to indemnify the Indemnitee by maintaining contractually required insurance and to provide proof of the insurance, entering the contractual insurance requirements and related pertinent information into a database, requesting on behalf of the Indemnitee proof of insurance from the Indemnitor, a service provider or the Indemnitee receiving the Indemnitor's insurance coverage information, comparing the Indemnitor's insurance coverage information with the contractual insurance requirements, determining if the Indemnitor is in contractual compliance, and issuing insurance to protect the interests of the Indemnitee in the event the Indemnitor is not in contractual compliance.

  • Publication number: 20050015501
Abstract: A method and system for providing on-location troubleshooting services to homeowners and businesses for low-voltage electronic equipment and other on-location services. It employs the use of an Internet-based system for recording customer requests for service and subsequently automatically dispatching technicians and managing provision of the requested services. It also provides functions to support customer and technician recruitment and sign up. Additionally, it provides functions for recording customer satisfaction, requesting repair services and links to low-voltage electronics equipment suppliers for purchasing desired low-voltage electronics equipment. Service areas, work cells are established for groups of customers which are closely located geographically. Technicians are recruited and assigned responsibility for work cells based on whether their residence is in or close to a particular work cell or group of work cells.
