Publication number: 20230195863Abstract: Some embodiments improve the security of service principals, service accounts, and other application identity accounts by detecting compromise of account credentials. Application identity accounts provide computational services with access to resources, as opposed to human identity accounts which operate on behalf of a particular person. Authentication attempt access data is submitted to a machine learning model which is trained specifically to detect application identity account anomalies. Heuristic rules are applied to the anomaly detection result to reduce false positives, yielding a compromise assessment suitable for access control mechanism usage. Embodiments reflect differences between application identity accounts and human identity accounts, in order to avoid inadvertent service interruptions, improve compromise detection for application identity accounts, and facilitate compromise containment and recovery efforts by focusing on credentials individually.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 21, 2021Publication date: June 22, 2023Inventors: Ye XU, Etan Micah BASSERI, Maria PUERTAS CALVO, Dana Scott KAUFMAN, Alexander T. Patent number: 11477256Abstract: Disclosed is a process and a system for controlling a computerized entertainment property playlist comprising registering a user and also registering an owner of the entertainment property. Next, the user can select, or allow a system to select on their behalf, entertainment property units owned by the owner, to be played on a playlist. Next, the system can be configured to store information relating to the registered user, the registered owner, and the media units in at least one database. Next, process can result in exporting the playlist via instructions sent by a microprocessor to at least one additional database. Next, the system can involve playing the entertainment property, or syncing multiple entertainment properties, on the playlist. Finally the system can involve rewarding the user based upon a number of units played of the media units and a duration of play of each of these media units.Type: GrantFiled: August 7, 2020Date of Patent: October 18, 2022Assignee: STATIONHEAD, INC.Inventors: Ryan Star Kulchinsky, Jason Scott Kaufman, Daniel Joel Tirer

Publication number: 20220097283Abstract: A system for controlling parameters of polymeric film includes an extruder and a die which has a gap. A plurality of regulators are positioned along the die for regulating the gap. A cooling cylinder is located downstream of the die and a polymeric melt extends from the die to the cooling cylinder. An applicator device for creating a tracking lane in the polymeric melt is located proximate the gap. A sensor system is located downstream from the gap in a measuring location. The sensor system locates a transverse point for the respective tracking lane in the polymeric film at the measuring location. The sensor system is in communication with the regulators to adjust the gap based on a correlation of tracking lane position at origin point and transverse point at the measuring location.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 14, 2021Publication date: March 31, 2022Applicant: Davis-Standard, LLCInventors: Richard Keller, Scott Kaufman, John Schweinsburg, Michael Augustine, Samuel Williams, John Christiano, Robert F. Patent number: 10956435Abstract: Systems and methods for providing search results from large amounts of data and providing navigation within search results are disclosed. A global search across a large number of tables within a cloud infrastructure may return large amounts of data from many different sets of possibly related tables and may take a noticeable time to complete processing. Disclosed techniques provide for iterative searching of table groups (e.g., groups of related tables possibly based on expected content of those tables) and providing results incrementally, possibly based on a priority associated with each table group. Further, results may be displayed in a display format that provides the user with context of where (e.g., in which groups) matching results were obtained.Type: GrantFiled: May 5, 2017Date of Patent: March 23, 2021Assignee: ServiceNow, Inc.Inventors: Scott Kaufman, Christopher Tucker, Andreas Kirn

Patent number: 10530746Abstract: An example embodiment may include a computational instance and a computing device within a remote network management platform. The computing device may be configured to: receive, from a client device of the managed network, a request to redirect, to a second URL, future requests addressed to a first URL; provide, to the client device, instructions to generate a certificate that binds an identity of the entity that operates the managed network to the first URL; receive, from the client device, the certificate; store the certificate and a corresponding cryptographic key; and generate a mapping between the first URL and the second URL. The computational instance may be configured to, in response to receiving a content request referencing the destination, generate a content response containing content from the destination, where any hyperlinks to the second URL in the content are replaced with hyperlinks to the first URL.Type: GrantFiled: October 17, 2017Date of Patent: January 7, 2020Assignee: ServiceNow, Inc.Inventors: Summaraya Kumar Deverakonda Venkata, Kai Xu, Scott Kaufman, Silas A. Patent number: 9779236Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are provided for risk assessment. Historical authentication data and/or compromised user account data may be evaluated to identify a set of authentication context properties associated with user authentication sessions and/or a set of malicious account context properties associated with compromised user accounts (e.g., properties indicative of whether a user recently visited a malicious site, created a fake social network profile, logged in from unknown locations, etc.). The set of authentication context properties and/or the set of malicious account context properties may be annotated to create an annotated context property training set that may be used to train a risk assessment machine learning model to generate a risk assessment model. The risk assessment model may be used to evaluate user context properties of a user account event to generate a risk analysis metric indicative of a likelihood the user account event is malicious or safe.Type: GrantFiled: June 21, 2016Date of Patent: October 3, 2017Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Luke Abrams, David J. Publication number: 20170032395Abstract: A system and method for dynamically creating, updating, and managing survey questions. The present disclosure is directed towards dynamically adding and removing questions and answers for electronic surveys using a unique system of tags applied to a database of questions and answers. Survey (Sheet) questions for a chosen category are stored in a centralized database—survey senders populate this database with all possible questions for the chosen survey project they need to collect data for, and can continuously maintain this master list by adding and removing questions over time.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 31, 2015Publication date: February 2, 2017Inventors: Scott Kaufman, Sujeesh Krishnan, Micah Calabrese, John Russell Norris

Publication number: 20160300253Abstract: A method for awarding equity rewards from social activity in a virtual social media platform enables the administrator of a social media platform to reward members of the social media platform with equity ownership based on the member's actions, activity and ability to attract other to the network. The method for awarding equity rewards from social activity in a virtual social media platform employs an activity monitor module that monitors the social media network for social actions performed by users, a points assignment module that assigns equity points to a user's account in response to that user's social activity on the network, a tracking for storing all social actions performed on the network and equity points assigned to users, and a points redemption module that facilitates the redemption of equity points for shares of equity in the social media platform.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 10, 2015Publication date: October 13, 2016Inventor: Kenneth Scott Kaufman

Publication number: 20160292247Abstract: A method of retrieving categorical data entries through an interactive graphical abstraction employs a generate categorical post entries process and a load categorical post entries process. Through the generate categorical post entries process, post entries generated by a user are automatically associated in a user post entry database table with a specific BranchID value of which the posting user is the OwnerUserID, thereby enabling retrieval thereof. Through the loading categorical post entries process, a user a desired branch of a an interactive graphical abstraction on a graphical user interface, thereby causing each post entry in the database from a user on the branch selected by the user through the interactive graphical abstraction to be pulled for display or storage.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 31, 2015Publication date: October 6, 2016Inventor: Kenneth Scott Kaufman
