  • Publication number: 20050266946
Abstract: A method molds a device, such as a chain tensioner arm including two elements, one structural and one wear-resisting, using a single forming device within a single molding cycle. The two elements are preferably then combined during the single molding cycle. The elements preferably include a structure element with a top surface spanning a first end and a second end of the structure element, the top surface having a predetermined thickness, and a wearing element having a first surface and a second surface, the first surface disposed to engage a chain, the second surface being physically interlocked with the top surface of the structure element with allowance for relative movement between the top surface of the structure element and the second surface of the wearing element.
