  • Patent number: 12263752
Abstract: A system includes data processing hardware and memory hardware. The memory hardware is in communication with the data processing hardware and stores instructions that when executed on the data processing hardware cause the data processing hardware to perform certain operations. The operations include receiving a temperature corresponding to a battery, and determining whether the temperature is greater than a predetermined threshold temperature. The operations also include, when the temperature is greater than the predetermined threshold temperature, actuating an ejector to eject the battery from a power supply assembly.

Date of Patent: April 1, 2025
    Assignee: AVL Mobility Technologies, Inc.
Inventors: Bruce Falls, Adrian Quintana, Alwin Lutz, Scott Kochan, Brian Moran
  • Patent number: 12224649
Abstract: An electric motor assembly is disclosed. The electric motor assembly can include a plurality of electric motors coupled to a common gear assembly. Individual motors within the electric motor assembly can be dynamically controlled to increase motor efficiency at a given torque and RPM output.

  • Publication number: 20240347829
Abstract: An energy storage/battery system is disclosed. The system can include a multi-voltage configurable module (MVCM) and a multi-voltage configurable backplane (MVCB) that form the system. A method of manufacture of an MVCM can include placing a plurality of battery cell isolation sleeves within a body of a main housing, placing a plurality of battery cells within a cavity of the plurality of battery cell isolation sleeves, attaching a printed circuit board to a bottom portion of the main housing, the printed circuit board being coupled to a plurality of output terminals, coupling a plurality of conducting nails to the plurality of battery cells and the printed circuit board, wherein the plurality of conducting nails extend from a cathode side of the plurality of battery cells to the printed circuit board when so coupled, and attaching a top cover to a top portion of the main housing.

  • Publication number: 20240039066
Abstract: A cell management module for a power supply module including a plurality of power cells includes at least one cell-sensing circuit and a current measurement circuit connected to the at least one cell-sensing circuit. The at least one cell-sensing circuit includes a transformer having a first winding and a second winding inductively coupled to the first winding. A first sub-circuit of the cell-sensing circuit includes the first winding of the transformer and is operable to selectively pulse a first signal through the first winding. A second sub-circuit of the cell-sensing circuit includes the second winding of the transformer and one of the power cells of the power supply module. The current measurement circuit is connected to the first sub-circuit of the at least one cell-sensing circuit and infers a voltage of the power cell based on a measured current of the first signal.
