  • Publication number: 20240139504
Abstract: A method of delivering tumor treating electric fields to a body of a patient including: obtaining a topography and a location of a tumor in the patient; placing a mimicked tumor, in a phantom; positioning simulated arrays of simulated electrodes on the phantom; running simulated TTF treatments of the mimicked tumor in the mimicked arrays to determine a field strength in the mimicked tumor; altering electrical parameters of an electrical signal applied to selected pairs of electrodes; repeating the running and altering steps until a selected field strength of the electrical signal is obtained in the mimicked tumor; implementing arrays of electrodes on the patient that correspond to the simulated arrays; and treating the tumor in the patient by using the parameters of the electrical signal applied to selected electrodes on the patient that correspond to the parameters of the selected pairs on the phantom.

  • Publication number: 20230218896
Abstract: A method of applying electrode elements configured in an array of elements to an individual's skin, the electrode elements being part of an apparatus for delivering a plurality of electromagnetic fields to the body of the individual, the method comprising the steps of: positioning, applying, holding and bowing. The positioning step includes the positioning of each of the electrode elements of the array of elements into corresponding cavities in at least one holding rack. The applying step includes the applying of a medical adhesive to a surface of the plurality of electrode elements. The holding step includes the holding of the holding rack against the skin at a selected location. The bowing step includes the bowing of a portion of the holding rack causing one of the electrode elements to pop out of the holding rack, with the electrode element adhering to the skin by way of the medical adhesive.

  • Patent number: 11623084
Abstract: An apparatus for delivering a plurality of electromagnetic fields to a body of an individual. The apparatus includes a plurality of electrode elements and a control device coupled with the plurality of electrode elements. The control device is configured to detect temperatures of the plurality of electrode elements, determine alternate firing sequences of the plurality of electrode elements, and implement the determined alternate firing sequences for delivering the plurality of electromagnetic fields for treating tumors in the body of the individual and reducing temperatures of the plurality of electrode elements.

  • Publication number: 20220401726
Abstract: A method of treating tumors by the delivery of tumor treating electric fields to a patient. The method including the steps of placing an electrode array on the patient; running a temperature analysis mode of the electrode array to provide a temperature analysis; determining which subarrays of the electrode array have neutral non tumor treating field firings inserted into a firing configuration based on the temperature analysis; and treating the patient using the firing configuration to deliver tumor treating fields to the patient.

  • Publication number: 20210177492
Abstract: A method of delivering tumor treating electric fields to a body of a patient. The method includes scanning the body of the patient for identifying at least two tumor-filled areas. The method further includes determining a spatial relationship in between the at least two tumor-filled areas. The method further includes arranging an array of insulated electrode elements on the body of the patient. The method further includes implementing at least two subarray firing configurations for the array of insulated electrode elements to treat the at least two tumor-filled areas depending at least in part upon the spatial relationship in between the at least two tumor-filled areas such that each subarray firing configuration treats a respective tumor-filled area.
