  • Patent number: 7784185
Abstract: A process for attaching a wheel cover to a wheel in which a wheel cover and wheel are placed together and a foamable adhesive is injected into the gap defined between the wheel cover and wheel. After the foamable adhesive is injected into the gap defined between the wheel cover and wheel at an injection station, the cover/wheel assembly is transported to a station in which the cover/wheel assembly is heated to a temperature that is sufficient to effect the forming, expansion and curing of the foamable adhesive. The cover/wheel assemblies are supported and transported on carriers that are provided with clamping mechanisms.

  • Patent number: 7118544
Abstract: An elevation device for resiliently supporting an extremity of a patient that utilizes the packaging for the device to form the finished product. The elevation device includes a support cushion and a planar surface for supporting the support cushion at a desired elevation. At least one guide member is associated with the planar surface for positioning the support cushion on the planar surface. An orthopedic block comprising an upright foot block is removeably positioned on the support cushion and is held in place by buckling opposed ends of a web belt.

  • Patent number: 6470621
Abstract: A water fowl decoy has an outer buoyant layer molded around an inner buoyant core material contained within the outer shell. The outer shell has a bottom opening for receiving a removable keel. The opening has front and rear walls with at least one indentation. The keel has a front edge and a rear edge with at least one detent which matingly engages the corresponding indentations on the front and/or side walls of the opening in the outer shell.

  • Publication number: 20020020101
Abstract: A water fowl decoy is disclosed. The decoy has an outer shell having a shape of a desired water fowl. The outer shell preferably comprises a urethane microcellular elastomer material. A buoyant core material is contained within the outer shell. The outer shell has a bottom which defines an opening for receiving a removable keel. The opening has front and rear walls of the outer shell define at least one indentation. The keel has a front edge and a rear edge each defining at least one detent which matingly engages the corresponding indentations on the front and/or side walls of the opening in the bottom of the outer shell.

  • Patent number: 5842750
Abstract: A composite styled wheel has a rigid wheel backbone with a plastic overlay on an outboard face thereof. The wheel backbone is positioned in a lower mold to define a mold cavity therebetween, and an upper mold seals through apertures in the wheel backbone. The lower mold has a ring-shaped forming surface that selectively abuts the outboard flange edge of the wheel backbone, and a riser which selectively engages the wheel backbone, and selectively positions the outboard flange edge a spaced apart distance from the forming surface to define a venting space therebetween. A reactive urethane mixture is injected into the mold cavity to fill at least a portion of the same, and flow the mixture through the venting space to evacuate air from the mold cavity.

  • Patent number: 5634694
Abstract: An elastomeric guard member for use with a vehicle wheel is disclosed. The wheel includes a wheel disc and rim. The wheel disc defines a plurality of circumferential openings. In prior art wheel assemblies, debris was apparent at the wheel openings. The elastomeric guard member is positioned in a circular configuration within the space to retard water and debris from entering the space and to present a better visual appearance.
