  • Patent number: 5336100
Abstract: A connector is securely mounted on the end of a low voltage track. The connector is electrically connected to a pair of spaced conductive wires in the tracks. The conductive wires are separated in an insulator body. The insulator body has a pair of opposed inwardly extending edges. The terminal includes a base having a pair of opposed resilient side walls. Each of the side walls defines in part a respective longitudinal receptacle groove. Each receptacle groove is parallel to the other groove. A cantilever tongue is formed integral with the side walls and is substantially parallel to the grooves. The tongue is positioned between the opposed edges of the insulator body. The tongue has opposed portions positioned under the inwardly extending edges of the insulator body. A connector belt is positioned in each of the receptacle grooves. Each connector belt receives a wire from the low voltage track.

  • Patent number: 4887196
Abstract: A recessed track lighting system includes a housing recessed in a ceiling and having a top wall, an elongated opening spaced downwardly from the top wall and a channel along the top wall extending parallel to the opening and laterally centered in respect thereto, and at least one light fixture mounted in the housing by means of an adapter releasably engageable in the channel and being movable therealong. The adapter defines an axis of rotation that substantially bisects the width of the elongated opening and a lamp head support in turnable about such axis of rotation and has an arcuate guide extending generally radially from the axis of rotation. The arcuate guide has a curvature centered substantially at the lateral center of the elongated opening, and a lamp head is adjustably mounted on the arcuate guide and includes a light source directing light along a light beam axis which, in all positions of the lamp head along the arcuate guide, intersects the axis of rotation at the plane of the opening.

  • Patent number: 4616296
Abstract: A task lamp is disclosed which includes a reflector assembly and two sockets for receiving light bulbs mounted in a housing. The reflector assembly has a planar reflecting surface, front and back reflecting surfaces, and side reflecting surfaces. The planar reflecting surface serves as a base, and the front, back, and side reflecting surfaces extend from the planar reflecting surface and have predetermined angles with respect to a vertical plane when the lamp is in its normal operating position. The reflector assembly also has a pyramidal reflecting piece with triangular reflecting surfaces that extend from the planar reflecting surface. The base of the pyramidal reflecting piece is positioned against one of the front and back reflecting surfaces, while the vertex of the pyramidal reflecting piece is positioned proximate the other of the front and back reflecting surfaces.
