  • Publication number: 20100217639
Abstract: Embodiments may include systems and methods to create and edit a representation of a worksite, to create various data objects, to classify such objects as various types of pre-defined “features” with attendant properties and layout constraints. As part of or in addition to classification, an embodiment may include systems and methods to create, associate, and edit intrinsic and extrinsic properties to these objects. A design engine may apply of design rules to the features described above to generate one or more solar collectors installation design alternatives, including generation of on-screen and/or paper representations of the physical layout or arrangement of the one or more design alternatives. In some embodiments, metadata about the design process, including the process of classifying features and providing user input, generating layouts, and then modifying those layouts, may be generated. The metadata may include information about exceptional conditions in the project state information or design.

Embodiments may also include definition of one or more design apertures, each of which may correspond to boundaries in which solar collector layouts should comply with distinct sets of user-defined design preferences.

  • Publication number: 20070089706
Abstract: An engine and a method of operating an internal combustion engine is provided. The method comprises supplying a pressurized air from an intake manifold to an air intake port of a combustion chamber in the cylinder, operating an air intake valve to open the air intake port to allow the pressurized air and exhaust gas mixture to flow between the combustion chamber and the intake manifold during a portion of a compression stroke of the piston, and operating the engine in an HCCI combustion mode. In at least some embodiments, a mixture of pressurized air and recirculated exhaust gas is supplied from an intake manifold to an air intake port of a combustion chamber in the cylinder. In some embodiments, the method further comprises causing an exhaust stream of an engine to contact a NOx adsorber.

  • Patent number: 5492362
Abstract: An airbag is formed of two or more panels with one or more panel being impervious and the second being pervious to gases. A layer is attached to the gas permeable panel and has a dimension selected to insure that the airbag has a preselected maximum peak pressure during deployment.

  • Patent number: 4631549
Abstract: In a continuous ink jet printer, the stimulation amplitude is adjusted by sensing the stimulation amplitude at which infinite satellites are first produced, and adjusting the stimulation as a function of the sensed amplitude.
