  • Patent number: 10847881
Abstract: A dual-band antenna with notched cross-polarization suppression can include a symmetrical feed tab, a short circuit leg electrically coupled to the symmetrical feed tab, and symmetrical arms electrically coupled to and extending from opposing sides of the short circuit leg. When a signal with a first frequency energizes the symmetrical feed tab, a combination of the symmetrical feed tab and the short circuit leg can form a first radiating section, but when a signal with a second frequency energizes the symmetrical feed tab, the symmetrical arms can form a second radiating section. The symmetrical feed tab and the symmetrical arms can be oriented such that symmetry of the symmetrical feed tab and the symmetrical arms can yield a cumulative cross-polarization distribution derived from radiation from surface currents on the symmetrical feed tab and the symmetrical arms that theoretically vanishes at a plurality of points in an azimuth plane.

  • Patent number: 10565042
Abstract: A transceiver for imparting a voltage signal on a differential signaling bus, involving an output terminal and a string of one or more transistors connected between the output terminal and a predetermined voltage level. The transceiver can be switched between an active state in which the predetermined voltage level is applied to the output terminal, and an inactive state in which the predetermined voltage level is not applied to the output terminal. Methods for the transceiver can involve a detection step of detecting a first quantity depending on a current flowing through a first transistor in the string of transistors, a failure determination step of determining whether the detected first quantity satisfies one or more error conditions, and a control step of switching the transceiver to the inactive state if the detected first quantity is determined to satisfy at least one of the one or more error conditions.

  • Patent number: 10498047
Abstract: A robust, dual-band, omnidirectional antenna is provided. In some embodiments, the antenna can be deployed in a Wi-Fi access point and tuned to operate with high efficiency in a plurality of driving point environments, and in some embodiments, the antenna can be tuned to operate with high efficiency over an impedance bandwidth in excess of 80% with little change to the radiation patterns. The antenna can operate in a TM20 circular patch mode in a low frequency band and in a wideband quarter wavelength monopole mode in a high frequency band, and both the TM20 circular patch mode and the quarter wavelength monopole mode can radiate a strongly circulating magnetic field that can beget excellent omnidirectional radiation patterns and decouple the antenna from nearby horizontally-polarized antenna elements, thereby allowing the antenna to be collocated with horizontally-polarized elements with little degradation to overall system level performance.

  • Patent number: 9906624
Abstract: Embodiments presented herein provide a protocol for throttling requests of multiple client applications sending data to a server. When a server receives a request from a client, the server increments a counter. Based on the counter value with respect to a high-water mark value and a low-water mark value, the server may enter a throttling period, upon which the server sends acknowledgments that include a throttle identifier to requesting clients. When a client receives an acknowledgment with a throttle identifier, the client waits for a delay period before sending a subsequent request. The server continues to send acknowledgments with a throttle identifier while in the throttling period. The client increases the delay period each time it receives an acknowledgment with the same throttle identifier as the previous one.

  • Patent number: 7784755
Abstract: A clip assembly having first and second clip members. In an example embodiment the first and second clip members are generally matching. Each clip member includes a mounting member adapted to envelope and slide along an edge of an associated mounting support, such as a ceiling T rail. Each clip member further includes a spacer member arranged generally parallel to the mounting member. The clip members are adapted to be mutually engaged by the engaging means included in respective spacer members when the first and second clip members are drawn together as a result of the respective mounting members sliding toward each other along opposed edges of the mounting support. The clip assembly is secured to the mounting support by an external screw and capable of being easily released from it, when necessary.

  • Patent number: 7241170
Abstract: An improved bracket is utilized in a mounting system for a modular system connector used in connecting devices to cables such as network cable, coaxial cable, or fiber optic cable. The bracket has a pair of mounting portions for securing to an outlet box and a modular receiving portion for receiving a modular connector. The modular receiving portion is located in the outlet box and angled downward to allow the connection of the cable at such an angle and position that it can connect to a flush mounted device. Accordingly, the modular connector is not flush or projecting from the outlet such as in conventional devices and therefore is not required to be removed from its mounting in order to mount a flush mounted device such as a voice over IP telephone.

  • Patent number: 7140889
Abstract: This invention is directed to a security system for wireless access points which includes a clamp assembly and a locking device. The clamp assembly is clamped around I/O panel connectors, and then secured to the access point enclosure frame via a metal capture plate. The metal capture plate extends from an end of the clamp assembly and engages the lower half of the access point enclosure frame, securing the clamp assembly to the access point. Additionally, the locking device locks the clamp assembly halves in a closed position, thus preventing removal of the access point and blocking any unauthorized users from accessing the I/O ports.
