Abstract: A method for detecting diversion may include receiving, from a dispensing cabinet including medication, data associated with a plurality of individuals accessing the dispensing cabinet to retrieve and/or return the medication. Diversion of the medication may be detected by at least applying, to at least a portion of the data received from the dispensing cabinet, a machine learning model trained to detect diversion. An identity of a first individual responsible for the diversion may be determined based on the data received from the dispensing cabinet. In response to the determination of the first individual as being responsible for the diversion, an investigative workflow may be triggered at the dispensing cabinet. Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for identifying and tracking diverters of controlled medications. A system may receive signals indicative of medication dispensing activities by one or more health care providers such as nurses, physicians, or pharmacists. Based on the received signals, the system may determine suspected diverters and provide a graphical interface identifying corresponding factors related to usage, waste, dosage, or other factors associated with the suspected diverters. The graphical interface may provide a list of top diverters and display dispensing transactions performed at a dispensing device.

In one aspect, a method includes receiving an indication that a user has entered a set of parameters into a medical device to provide a medical treatment to a patient, receiving a history of previous medical treatment provided to the patient using the medical device, generating one or more alternative parameters for providing the medical treatment to the patient based on the set of parameters and the received history of previous medical treatment, causing, based on the generating of the one or more alternative parameters, a locking of the medical device to restrict operation of the medical device until an override of the lock is received, providing a notification for display to the user regarding the alternative parameters.
