  • Publication number: 20180278504
Abstract: A process for improved real-time conflict identification and resolution, and information corroboration, during an interrogation relative to an incident includes capturing a first real-time digital audio or video stream from a first interviewee under interrogation by a first interviewer relative to an incident. The first real-time digital audio or video stream is converted to a first digital text string, which is then semantically processed to identify and store first information relative to the incident. Stored second information created via interrogation of a second interviewee under interrogation relative to the incident is accessed, and a conflict between the stored first information and the stored second information is identified. A visual or audio prompt is generated associated with the conflict and an indication of the conflict is played back via the visual or audio prompt to the first interviewer.

  • Publication number: 20180255269
Abstract: An evidentiary management process for digital data associated with a localized Miranda-type process includes first detecting an electronic Miranda-type process trigger event, capturing audio/video of a suspect and storing a unique identifier of the suspect, selecting a particular stored Miranda-type warning variation, and then playing back the selected warning variation and storing an indication thereof. Then the unique identifier of the suspect and the stored indication of the warning variation are aggregated into a single data structure. An electronic anti-tamper process is then applied to the single data structure to generate an anti-tamper indicator, and the single data structure and anti-tamper indicator are stored or transmitted to a remote device.

  • Patent number: 9818042
Abstract: Data analytics engines and methods of incident scene focus area determination. The method includes receiving a plurality of directional inputs from a plurality of sources. The method also includes assigning weighting factors to the plurality of directional inputs. The method further includes generating weighted position vectors for each of the plurality of sources based on the plurality of directional inputs and the weighting factors. The method also includes determining when the weighted position vectors for at least two sources of the plurality of sources intersect. The method further includes determining an intersection location and a confidence level based on the weighted position vectors of the at least two sources. The method also includes identifying an incident scene focus area based on the intersection location and the confidence level.

  • Patent number: 9564042
Abstract: A communication system and method provide fight detection capability. Bodily parameters associated with fighting, such as limb movements, are pre-stored and individualized for a particular user. The characterization of a fight using limb movements allows for a system that can recognize a fight even when a user is unable to call for assistance. Other bodily parameters are further monitored and weighted to distinguish a fight from other activities. The automatic notification to a dispatch center or control center and notification to peer radios expedites the ability to bring aid to the user.

  • Publication number: 20160358080
Abstract: A method and system for pursuing a fugitive to a capture location. In one embodiment, the system including a main computer including a cornering strategy module. The main computer configured to communicate with a mapping module, a fugitive tracking and intelligence module, an asset tracking module, and a pursuit asset and receive ingress and egress information from the mapping module; predict a route of the fugitive; identify the capture location based on at least one selected from the group consisting of the received ingress and egress information and the predicted route; determine a cornering strategy based on the capture location and a cornering strategy function; and output instructions, based on the cornering strategy, to a pursuit asset in order to direct the fugitive toward the capture location.

  • Patent number: 9305323
Abstract: A communication system (200) comprises a radio communication device (100) comprising a controller (102) having law enforcement information (110) stored therein and a data acquisition device (108) for capturing area conditions surrounding a law enforcement vehicle or law enforcement personnel. The controller (102) detects violations of the law enforcement information based on variety of detection devices, such as video analytics. In response to a detection of a law violation by an offending vehicle, a transmitter (104) within communication device 100 generates an alert to similarly formed secondary devices (220) mounted and/or worn within the network. The system (200) provides an automated response through devices (220) by gathering additional data pertaining to the offending vehicle to detect for additional violations of the law, even across state lines. The system (200) may further facilitate apprehension of an offending vehicle through automated roadblocks.

  • Patent number: 9301119
Abstract: A method and apparatus for a device to provide emergency information is provided herein. During operation, an emergency responder will send out a wireless request for ICE information. Any device in the area will wirelessly respond to the request by providing ICE information, as long as a predetermined criterion is met. Because ICE information can be requested, and obtained wirelessly, a first responder does not need physical access to the device storing the ICE information. Thus, ICE information can be obtained from a device even when the device is not immediately accessible to the first responder.
