Abstract: An improved refrigerator hinge assembly which provides for maintaining the proper adjusted position of a refrigerator door with respect to its associated cabinet. A factory setting of the refrigerator door can be accurately maintained with precision even after the hinges are removed for field installation of the refrigerator such as to pass a refrigerator through narrow doorways. A tap plate is located behind the cabinet cladding and has "wrapper" or hinge screw holes for clamping the position of the external hinge with hinge screws, while allowing for factory adjustment of the door position. After the door is factory adjusted in position, a supplemental mechanism is applied to fix the tap plate in the factory position independent of the hinge screws, such as an epoxy application or a separate and independent drill screw applied through the cabinet and engaging the tap plate.

Abstract: A refrigerator includes an external wrapper defining a refrigerated compartment. The external wrapper overlies a support frame, and at least one door is movable about a hinge point to obtain access to the refrigerated compartment. The door is supported by a molded plastic hinge which is integrally formed to include a hinge pin, cam and door stop. The molded plastic hinge is formed so as to eliminate the need for shims, wherein a relieved area on that portion of the hinge plate overlying the external wrapper compensates for the width of the sheet material forming the external wrapper.

Abstract: A combination lock dial ring and rotatable dial assembly for combination locks and the like designed to provide limited range top reading of the dial indicia and graduations, including a rotatable dial component having a circular dial formation and a knob formation integral therewith, wherein the dial formation has a peripheral flange formation providing a cylindrical outer surface on which dial graduation marks and numeral indicia are provided. A dial ring member includes a generally circular base wall portion and an interrupted cylindrical annular shield portion defining a forwardly opening cylindrical well to receive said dial formation nested therein. An annular detenting land formation is provided inwardly adjacent the cylindrical shield portion defining a detenting surface having a number of dial graduation marks.

Abstract: An electronic lock controlled safe for hotel rooms and the like including a box-like safe having a safe door and door frame, an electronic lock mounted on the door including a forwardly exposed keypad and display window assembly, the keypad having plural finger-actuated keys with associated numerals and legends and an associated electrically activated alpha-numeric display strip located adjacent the keypad for displaying messages through the display window to an operator.
