  • Publication number: 20190350407
Abstract: Method and systems related to vertically actuated heating chamber doors are disclosed. One system includes an electronic oven, comprising a hinge mechanism, a heating chamber, a chamber door connected to the hinge mechanism, and an integrated touch display on the chamber door. The chamber door seals the heating chamber in a closed state and reveals the heating chamber in an open state. The hinge mechanism is configured to move the chamber door vertically between the open state and the closed state.

  • Publication number: 20090084788
Abstract: A trashcan can be configured to fit into the corner of a room. The trashcan can have a foot pedal that is connected to the lid of the trashcan such that a user can open and close the lid with the foot pedal. The trashcan can be configured such that the lid pivots about an axis that is generally parallel to one of the walls when the trashcan is positioned in the corner of a room. Additionally, the trashcan can include a dampening mechanism which includes two apertures having axes that are skewed relative to one another. This allows the pedal bar and associated lifting rod mechanisms to pivot about the appropriate axes to provide smooth and low friction operation.

  • Patent number: 6866461
Abstract: The present invention comprises a loading device for automating transfer of a plurality of probes between a cassette within which the plurality of probes are initially constrained and an analytical instrument, e.g., mass spectrometer. The loading device may be configured to accept a single or a plurality of cassettes each removably constraining a plurality of probes to be analyzed. The loading device may permit each of the plurality of cassettes to be independently interchanged with a separate cassette removably constraining a separate plurality of probes during mass spectrometric analysis, or for additional cassettes to be loaded into the device during analysis. In a useful embodiment, the loading device comprises a cassette transport assembly and a probe insertion assembly. The cassette transport assembly linearly translates one or more cassettes to align the cassette(s) with respect to the mass spectrometer so that a probe may be translated therebetween by the probe insertion assembly.
