  • Patent number: 9879472
Abstract: A frame assembly is disposed within an opening of a structure. The frame assembly includes first and second frame members each defining an interior and having a plurality of walls extending between a first end and a second end. The frame assembly includes a cornerlock extending into each of the first and second frame members. The cornerlock includes first and second body members each having hinge and distal ends and are rotatably coupled together at the hinge ends. The first body member has at least one arm deflectable to bias against and engage the first frame member. Each of the first and second frame members has a mitered end. The first and second frame members abut at the mitered ends in an angular configuration. The cornerlock rotates to correspond with the angular configuration and is entirely disposed within a combination of the interiors of the first and second frame members.

  • Patent number: 9869122
Abstract: A cornerlock is used with a frame assembly. The frame assembly includes first and second frame members each having walls defining interior voids. The cornerlock extends into the interior void of each of the first and second frame members. The cornerlock comprises first and second body members mating with the interior voids of the first and second frame members, respectively. Each body member has proximal and distal ends and are rigidly fixed to one another. The first body member has a leg and an arm both extending from the proximal end to the distal end. The leg is resistant to deflection. The arm is deflectable about the proximal end and immediately deflects upon engagement with the first frame member for engaging the leg with one of the plurality of walls and biasing the arm into engagement with another one of the plurality of walls of the first frame member.

  • Publication number: 20170074029
Abstract: A glazing bead engages a fenestration article and a frame. The glazing bead includes a reinforcement member, at least a portion of which extends along a cross-sectional axis in a substantially linear configuration between a first end and a second end. The glazing bead includes a body at least partially enveloping the reinforcement member and coupled with the reinforcement member. The glazing bead includes a protrusion extending from the body adjacent the first end and a leg having a proximal end adjacent the second end, with the leg extending from the body to a distal end, with the proximal and distal ends forming an angle less than ninety degrees from the cross-sectional axis. A method of manufacturing the glazing member includes steps of providing the reinforcement member and depositing a polymer to form the body, the protrusion, and the leg coupled with the reinforcement member.

  • Publication number: 20160215555
Abstract: A sill assembly is used in a threshold system and includes a sill deck having first and second deck surfaces opposing one another and extending between first and second ends. The sill assembly further includes a sill base formed of a polymer and coupled with the sill deck continuously along the first deck surface between and to the first and second ends of the sill deck for supporting the sill deck between and at the first and second ends. A method of manufacturing the sill assembly includes the steps of providing the sill deck and depositing the polymer to form the sill base coupled with the sill deck along the first deck surface between the first and second ends of the sill deck.
