Patent number: 11914780Abstract: A finger-mounted device may include finger-mounted units. The finger-mounted units may each have a body that serves as a support structure for components such as force sensors, accelerometers, and other sensors and for haptic output devices. The body may have sidewall portions coupled by a portion that rests adjacent to a user's fingernail. The body may be formed from deformable material such as metal or may be formed from adjustable structures such as sliding body portions that are coupled to each other using magnetic attraction, springs, or other structures. The body of each finger-mounted unit may have a U-shaped cross-sectional profile that leaves the finger pad of each finger exposed when the body is coupled to a fingertip of a user's finger. Control circuitry may gather finger press input, lateral finger movement input, and finger tap input using the sensors and may provide haptic output using the haptic output device.Type: GrantFiled: August 11, 2022Date of Patent: February 27, 2024Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Paul X Wang, Alex J. A first input associated with a body portion of the electronic document is received from the first user device of the first user. The first input includes a particular symbol followed by one or more characters that represent a second user. A second input associated with the body portion of the electronic document is received from the first user device of the first user. The second input includes textual input associated with the body portion of the electronic document. The first input associated with the body portion of the electronic document is analyzed to determine one or more user addresses. A message is caused to be sent to a second user device of the second user using the determined one or more user addresses.Type: GrantFiled: February 11, 2019Date of Patent: June 6, 2023Assignee: Google LLCInventors: Scott M. Patent number: 9292479Abstract: In one implementation, a computer-implemented method includes receiving a request to access an electronic document collection that integrates a plurality of electronic sub-documents that are each of one of a plurality of defined document types. The method also includes retrieving information that is associated with the document collection, wherein the retrieved information identifies a first sub-document of the plurality of sub-documents using a first non-address identifier, and identifying a first software application that is configured to provide access to the first sub-document. The method additionally includes initiating a first connection with a first server that causes execution of the identified first software application and that, using the first non-address identifier, provides access to the first sub-document.Type: GrantFiled: April 30, 2013Date of Patent: March 22, 2016Assignee: GOOGLE INC.Inventors: Farzad Khosrowshahi, Haluk Burcin Tunali, Lev Epshteyn, Joseph Wain, Scott M. Publication number: 20130326330Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for integrating collaboratively proposed changes and publishing an electronic document among multiple users, each user having a different level of access and rights to the document. A first suggested edit to the electronic document is received from a reviewer, and a markup version of the electronic document is updated to reflect the first suggested edit. An acceptance or a rejection of the first suggested edit is received from an editor. In response to receiving an acceptance of the first suggested edit, the first suggested edit is converted to an accepted edit, yielding a second updated markup version. The clean version of the electronic document is updated with the accepted edit, and the updated clean version is published.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 1, 2012Publication date: December 5, 2013Applicant: Google Inc.Inventors: Jeff Harris, Scott M.
