  • Publication number: 20260120038
Abstract: Automated training systems including an integrator module, a content merit module, and a simulation module. The integrator module is configured to access event component data from different data sources and to generate a composite event data file for a given event. The content merit module is in data communication with the integrator module and configured to access the composite event data file, to compare the composite event data file to predetermined criteria, and to generate a content merit score based on the comparison of the composite event data file to the predetermined criteria. The simulation module is in data communication with the integrator module and the content merit module and configured to access a selected composite event data file and to generate a simulated event data file. The selected composite event data file has a content merit score that exceeds a predetermined content merit threshold.

  • Publication number: 20240318528
Abstract: A system and method for a fully-integrated flow control module (FI-FCM) in a hydrocarbon reservoir is disclosed. The FI-FCM is a unibody structure or a single-piece machined body having a flow meter integrated to the unibody structure. A choke is to be associated within a provision of the FI-FCM that also has an entry flow path for reservoir fluid and an exit flow path for the reservoir fluid. The entry flow path and the exit flow path inside the unibody structure or the single-piece machined body. Fluid communication is enabled between the flow meter, which is upstream relative to the choke, and an entry flow path. The choke is to control flow between the entry flow path and the exit flow path.

  • Publication number: 20240289119
Abstract: A system for updating application capabilities across identity and access management (IAM) platforms is provided herein. The system receives data at a central system from a plurality of data sources. The central system identifies deployed application capabilities based on data from a first data source and identifies target application capabilities from a second data source. The central system compares the one or more deployed application capabilities to the one or more target application capabilities to identify a capability gap, wherein the capability gap represents a target capability not included in the deployed application capabilities. The central system automatically selects one or more applications to update based on the identified capability gap, and the central system automatically updates the selected applications by deploying the target application capabilities not included in the deployed application capabilities to the selected applications via an IAM platform.

  • Patent number: 10345682
Abstract: A variable diameter mounting attachment joins an accessory, such as a matte box, to a lens of a camera, such as a video camera, digital camera or broadcast camera, while blocking undesired light from reaching the lens. The attachment incorporates two synchronized mechanisms activated together by rotation of an outer gear ring: (1) a series of jaws to clench an outer edge of the lens housing, and (2) a multiple blade iris diaphragm to block undesired light from entering the lens. A lock lever clamps the outer gear ring in fixed position.

  • Patent number: 10260677
Abstract: A shoulder rest for a camera includes a main frame, a mid plate pivotably connected to the main frame and a back plate pivotably connected to the mid plate, and optionally a front plate. The pivot connections allow a user to adjust the curve of the shoulder rest. A tilt plate attached to a top surface of the main frame is configured to tilt to an angle with respect to the main frame. An adapter to which the camera is removably mounted is attached to the tilt plate, and may be moved forwardly or rearwardly with respect to the main frame, and/or may be moved toward and away from a side edge of the main frame. The tilt plate and adapter together allow the user to offset the camera away from the user's head for greater comfort.

  • Publication number: 20090321340
Abstract: A filter cartridge for use with a filter head assembly and for filtering a stream of pressurized fluid. The filter cartridge comprises a housing enclosing filtering media, a retainer to releasably engage a receiver in a filter head assembly, and one or more rotationally engagable locks securing the filter cartridge to the filter head assembly upon the rotational engagement of the filter cartridge with the filter head assembly. The housing includes an upper end having therein entry and exit passages to permit fluid to enter the housing, pass through the filtering media and exit the housing. Rotational engagement of the filter cartridge with the filter head assembly causes the retainer and said the receiver to releasably secure the filter cartridge to the filter head assembly and to thereby permit fluid to travel from the filter head assembly through the entry passage and to permit fluid to pass from the exit passage into the filter head assembly.

  • Publication number: 20070247749
Abstract: A method and structure for reducing corrosion during the manufacture of perpendicular write heads is disclosed. Auxiliary pole structures (otherwise known as trailing shields and wrap around shields) are susceptible to corrosion due to their iron containing composition and small dimensions. The impact of corrosion can be reduced by utilizing a gap material comprising an upper surface of noble metals, which extends from underneath the auxiliary pole and is exposed to the same corrosive environment during processing. The area of the exposed gap material is limited to optimize corrosion protection.

  • Publication number: 20070115583
Abstract: A magnetic write head for perpendicular magnetic recording, the write head having a magnetic write pole configured with a cross section as viewed from the ABS that has a trailing portion with substantially vertical side walls and a leading portion formed with a taper that becomes narrower as it extends toward the leading edge. The write pole provides for excellent write field strength by providing sufficient cross section near the trailing edge to avoid magnetic saturation of the pole tip. The parallel side walls of the trailing portion also provide for excellent track width control during manufacture of the write head. The tapered portion of the write head, which starts some distance away from the trailing edge, prevents skew related adjacent track writing when the actuator that holds the write head is at its innermost or outermost travel extensions.

  • Publication number: 20060196040
Abstract: A method for making a magnetoresistive read head so that the pinned ferromagnetic layer is wider than the stripe height of the free ferromagnetic layer uses ion milling with the ion beam aligned at an angle to the substrate supporting the stack of layers making up the read head. The stack is patterned with photoresist to define a rectangular region with front and back long edges aligned parallel to the read head track width. After ion milling in two opposite directions orthogonal to the front and back long edges, the pinned layer width has an extension. The extension makes the width of the pinned layer greater than the stripe height of the free layer after the substrate and stack of layers are lapped. The length of the extension is determined by the angle between the substrate and the ion beam and the thickness of the photoresist.
