  • Patent number: 12479373
Abstract: A delivery vehicle with sensors having overlapping fields of view is described herein. In an example, a cargo bay is mounted to a chassis. A sensor system is mounted to the cargo bay and includes a plurality of cameras that have a first collective 360° field of view along a first plane and that form pairs of adjacent cameras. The cameras in each one of the pairs have overlapping fields of view along the first plane. The sensor system also includes a plurality of light sources configured to emit collectively light along the first collective 360° field of view. A first light source of the plurality of light sources is mounted adjacent to a first camera of the plurality of cameras.

  • Patent number: 12202295
Abstract: An apparatus includes a hub, a carrier structure and a first plurality of connective elements. The carrier structure surrounds the hub and holds a plurality of rollers that rotate within the carrier structure about an axis that is orthogonal to an axis of rotation of the hub. The first plurality of connective elements are coupled to the hub and the carrier structure. A connective element of the first plurality of connective elements elastically deforms to absorb an impact experienced by the carrier structure such that the rollers can rotate within the carrier structure while the carrier structure experiences the force.

  • Patent number: 11567511
Abstract: An automated package retrieval system is provided. The automated package retrieval system includes a hub apparatus that includes multiple docking stations for multiple delivery devices, a power supply unit coupled to the hub apparatus, and a controller. The controller is configured to instruct at least one of the delivery devices to travel to a location to deliver an item ordered by a user. Once it is determined that the user has not retrieved the item from the delivery device, the delivery device is instructed to return to the hub apparatus. In response to detecting the user in proximity to the hub apparatus after the delivery device has returned to the hub apparatus, the user is provided with access to a storage compartment of the delivery device.
