    Abstract: An air bag material and a process for making the material are disclosed. The air bag material is formed from a water jet woven fabric containing warp yarns and weft yarns. In accordance with the present disclosure, the warp yarns are treated with a size composition prior to being woven into the fabric. The size composition improves the runnability of the yarns. Of particular advantage, the size composition does not need to be removed after the fabric is produced. In fact, leaving the size composition on the fabric has been found to significantly increase the tear strength of the fabric.

    Abstract: Air bags for vehicles and processes for making the air bags are disclosed. In accordance with the present disclosure, the air bags include tethers that extend from one side of the air bag to the other side of the air bag and control the inflation characteristics of the bag. The tethers are integral with the air bag such that they are integrated into a woven pattern used to form the bag. The tethers can comprise yarn tethers or fabric tethers. In one embodiment, for instance, a one-piece air bag is disclosed that is formed from warp yarns and fill yarns that are not only used to construct the woven air bag but are also used to construct tethers incorporated into the bag.

    Abstract: Air bags for vehicles are disclosed. The air bags are made from a composite material comprising at least one film layer attached to a plurality of reinforcing elements. For instance, in one embodiment, a plurality of reinforcing elements may be located in between a first film layer and a second film layer. In one embodiment, each film layer may comprise a multilayer film. The composite material is particularly well suited to forming side-curtain air bags.

    Abstract: A system and method of managing bank accounts. A bank receives, electronically, from a customer, instructions to open, to update, to debit/credit, and to close bank accounts, such as escrow accounts associated with real estate transactions. Information in the instructions is used to automatically populate a bank's account management system. New accounts are thereafter automatically established and open accounts are automatically updated and closed consistent with the information in the instructions. New accounts are preferably funded from an operating account belonging to the customer, and checks are caused to be cut in an amount due to a client of the customer, if they so choose.
