  • Patent number: 12270174
Abstract: A bracing assembly for a geosynthetic wrapped system is provided. The bracing assembly includes a standing brace bar, a bottom brace bar, and a cross brace bar having different configurations to facilitate both easy and mistake free assembly of the bracing assembly. Furthermore, the standing brace bar and the bottom brace bar include guide tips that are sized and shaped to direct insertion of the standing brace bar and the bottom brace bar respectively into a weave of a geotextile fabric material such that a first connector of the bottom brace bar and a first connection slot of the standing brace bar are aligned together and with a fold line of the geotextile fabric material.

  • Patent number: 10602201
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for connecting a user with a sports competitor whose athletics the user is not interested in, but with whom the user shares a personal connection. In some embodiments, a media guidance application determines that a user is viewing playback of a media asset comprising a sporting event, identifies competitors featured in the sporting event, and retrieves, from a information identifying competitors in which the user is interested. The media guidance application determines therefrom competitors featured in the sporting event in which the user is not interested, and compares interests of the user that are not commonly shared by a general population to interests of the determined competitors. An uncommon interest is identified as common between a competitor and the user, and the user is provided an option to perform an action associated with the competitor.

  • Patent number: 7591758
Abstract: A method of controlling fuel injection in an engine of a vehicle having an all wheel drive or 4×4 system comprises restricting deactivation of the fuel injection during some deceleration conditions when the vehicle is in an all wheel drive, or 4×4, low gear. According to another aspect, a method comprises restricting deactivation of fuel injection during deceleration operations under all wheel drive, or 4×4 low gear operation; and disabling the fuel injection during at least some deceleration operation under other conditions. Disabling deactivation in an all wheel drive or 4×4 low gear allows a more controlled drivability at a time when any torque disturbance may be magnified and more easily felt by the vehicle driver.

  • Patent number: 7491464
Abstract: An alkaline cell having a flat housing, preferably of cuboid shape. The housing may be laser welded closed with a metal cover inserted as a part of an end cap assembly. A portion of an insulating seal may be held compressed between a sleeve extending from the metal cover and an anode current collector nail within the end cap assembly. The housing may include a vent mechanism, preferably a grooved vent, which can activate, when gas pressure within the cell reaches a threshold level typically between about 250 and 800 psig (1724×103 and 5515×103 pascal gage). The cell can have a supplemental laser welded vent which may activate at higher pressure levels.
