Abstract: A method and system for automated routing of pictures taken on mobile electronic devices to a second electronic device. A paper print of a selected digital photo is prepared, and the paper print including a near field communication (NFC) chip including a digital audio message. The paper print is delivered to a community member, whereby the community member plays the digital audio message via the second electronic device upon bringing the paper print in sufficient proximity to the second electronic device. Clustering photos by content is used to improve display and to respond to photo viewer desires or the NFC chip. The second electronic device includes a conversational intelligence that provides a verbal communication with a viewer, such as for determining an identity or preferences of the frame viewer, determining photos to display for the viewer, discussing displayed photos with the viewer, or telling stories to the viewer based upon photo content.

A network connection allows digital frames to upload of photos from electronic devices or from photo collections of community members. An integrated camera is used to automatically determine an identity of a frame viewer and can capture gesture-based feedback. The displayed photos are automatically shown and/or changed according to the detected viewers. The photos can be filtered and cropped at the receiver side.
