  • Publication number: 20220090339
Abstract: A snow plow assembly has a push frame, a lift frame, and a coupling configured to attach the push frame to a lift frame. The coupling attaches the left and right sides of the push frame to the corresponding left and right sides of the lift frame, and each coupling being independently vertically floatable to allow the push frame to float vertically relative to the lift frame, while also allowing the push frame to rotate relative to the lift frame to accommodate for irregular or uneven ground surfaces. The couplings each include a bearing block that extends through an opening in the push frame and a retaining member that extends through an opening in the bearing block for operatively coupling the push frame to the lift frame. The bearing block facilitates distribution of load between the push frame and retaining member to reduce wear on the push frame.

  • Patent number: 10801172
Abstract: A snow plow assembly having a push frame, a lift frame, and a coupling configured to floatably attach the push frame to a lift frame. The coupling may attach the left and right sides of the push frame to the corresponding left and right sides of the lift frame, and each coupling may be independently vertically floatable to allow the push frame to float vertically relative to the lift frame, while also allowing the push frame to rotate relative to the lift frame to accommodate for irregular or uneven ground surfaces. The couplings may each include a retaining member for operatively coupling the push frame to the lift frame, and one or more bearing blocks that facilitate distribution of load between the push frame and retaining member to reduce wear on the push frame. The bearing blocks also may be vertically movable relative to the push frame for common vertical movement with the retaining members to enable such floating movement.

  • Publication number: 20200283977
Abstract: A snow plow assembly having a mounting assembly including a locking mechanism for securing a snow plow frame to a mounting frame of a vehicle, and for enabling the snow plow frame to be dismounted from the vehicle mounting frame. The locking mechanism may be configured such that a locking member is biased toward a lock position when an actuator is moved in a first direction beyond a threshold position, and the locking member is biased toward a release position when the actuator is moved in an opposite direction beyond the threshold position. The locking mechanism may include a plurality of locking members that are simultaneously moved between lock and release positions when the actuator effects such simultaneous movement. The snow plow assembly may include a stand assembly having a stand that can freely drop from an elevated position to the ground when actuated to release the stand.

  • Patent number: 9656586
Abstract: An apparatus and method for quickly mounting an accessory in the cargo bay of a truck is disclosed. Quick-mount devices lock onto tailgate pivot members of the cargo bay of the truck. The quick-mount devices may utilize locking tubes that extend laterally to engage the tailgate pivot members and secure the accessory, or retract laterally to release the tailgate pivot members and remove the accessory. In one embodiment the accessory is a dump insert. In a further embodiment the dump insert has stepped walls.

  • Publication number: 20170043751
Abstract: A wheel chock having a wedge-shaped body and a recessed gripping member is provided. The wedge-shaped body includes a bottom surface for engaging the ground, a front inclined wheel engaging surface, a back surface opposite the front inclined surface, and opposite upright side surfaces. At least one of the opposite upright side surfaces has a recess, and the gripping member is disposed in the recess. The gripping member does not substantially protrude beyond the upright side surface having the recess for enabling an improvement in compact packaging and shipping costs associated with the wheel chock.

  • Publication number: 20090212514
Abstract: The Creeper Dolly is for the use of moving heavy objects by placing them on Creeper Dolly and wheeling it to the desired location. The invention could also be used as a creeper to allow an individual to freely slide underneath a vehicle or into confine areas while working and performing various task. Made of two major components, the wheel base and resting board, the Creeper Dolly is able to adjust to accommodate various size objects or individuals by expanding the landing area in which the object or individual would rest upon. By extending and retracting the wheel base's lattice style structure in a scissor like manner, the wheel base could increase and shorten in length. Once the desired length of the wheel base as been reached, the resting board is to be laid on the wheel base to provide a comfortable resting place for an individual or object.

  • Patent number: 7562718
Abstract: A coupling for a plow comprising a push beam attachable to a front of a vehicle. The push beam has at least one outwardly-extending plate at each end thereof. Each plate has an aperture extending therethrough. A support frame is provided that is attachable to the back side of a plow assembly. The support frame has two spaced-apart plates extending therefrom, each of the plates having an aperture therethrough. The plates are dimensioned to be positioned adjacent the plates on the push beam with the apertures in the plates being aligned. A locking assembly is provided for locking the support frame to the push beam. The locking assembly is comprised of a pair of axially aligned pins biased outwardly away from each other. Each of the pins has an inner end and an outer end. A linkage connects the inner ends of the pins. The linkage has a first position wherein the pins are retracted toward each other along the axis, and a second position wherein the pins extend outwardly away from each other along the axis.
