Patent number: 11947780Abstract: A method at an electronic device with a display includes: displaying a user interface having a first region and a second region; receiving, and displaying in the first region of the user interface, a live video stream of a physical environment captured by a remote video camera; displaying, in the second region, a timeline corresponding to a timespan for a first portion of a duration during which the live video stream may have been recorded; in response to receiving a user interaction to move the timespan to a second portion of the duration, transitioning the displayed timeline to a new timeline that corresponds to the timespan for the second portion, and while transitioning, displaying, in the first region, a subset of video frames representing the first and/or second portion of the duration.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 2023Date of Patent: April 2, 2024Assignee: Google LLCInventors: Christopher Charles Burns, George Alban Heitz, III, James Edward Stewart, Cameron Hill, Seungho Yang, Joe Delone Venters, William Alex Finlayson, Carsten Hinz, Timothy Samuel Psiaki, Nathan Scott Klee, Gregory Rourk Nelson, Kevin James Avery, Lawrence W. Patent number: 10987495Abstract: An apparatus for performing a medical procedure includes a balloon with a variable profile. The balloon includes at least one inflatable chamber occupied by a fluid, such as air, and solids, such as generally spherical balls. When the chamber is inflated, the solids are spaced apart as a result of their ability to move or flow, but when the chamber is evacuated, the solids become compacted and prevent it from fully collapsing. The balloon may have a plurality of inflatable chambers with solids in different arrangements to achieve different objectives during the medical procedure, such as for example stent deployment. For example, one chamber may be expanded while the other is restrained to alter the balloon geometry, such as for providing focused force or permitting perfusion.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 2017Date of Patent: April 27, 2021Assignee: C.R. BARD, INC.Inventor: Scott Neal

Publication number: 20160025850Abstract: A system for providing autonomous robotic mobile threat security is disclosed. The system may perform an operation that includes receiving sensor information associated with an environment surrounding an object, such as a maritime vessel, where the sensor information is associated with a contact. The system may transform the contact information into track data corresponding to a track associated with the contact. Additionally, the system may compute, based on the track data, a confidence level for the track. The confidence level can indicate a representation of the degree to which a threatening behavior is exhibited by the contact as indicated by the track. The system may then determine if the confidence level for the track is at least as great as a threshold confidence level. If the confidence level is determined to be at least as great as the threshold confidence level, the system may classify the track as a threat. Finally, the system may employ a countermeasure against the threat.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 13, 2014Publication date: January 28, 2016Inventors: David Andrews Rigsby, Robert Allen Touchton, Curtis Hugh Walker, Scott David Hanford, Thomas William Hilands, Donovan Scott Neal

Publication number: 20130174425Abstract: A cutting device is disclosed. The cutting device includes a handle having an outer surface, the outer surface having a first end and a second end and defining a width. The cutting device further includes a plurality of blades coupled to the handle and extending from the first end. Each of the plurality of blades is spaced apart from another of the plurality of blades in a generally width-wise direction. The cutting device further includes a channel defined in the handle extending from the first end generally towards the second end. The channel is spaced from the neighboring blades in the generally width-wise direction and comprising a recess and an opening. The outer surface defines the opening. The channel allows movement of at least one of the plurality of blades in the generally width-wise direction with respect to another of the plurality of blades.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 6, 2012Publication date: July 11, 2013Inventors: Scott NEAL, David WOLFF, Glen BURKE

Publication number: 20060190578Abstract: In an OSS, storing a plurality, typically less than all, of name-value pairs from a sample space and calculating a “representative” value based on values in the entire sample space. Optionally, a “remainder” value can be generated based on name-value pairs in the sample space that were not stored as part of the plurality of name-value pairs. Displays may be generated based on the top “M” name-value pairs, with “M” typically being set by the user at some number less than “M.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 28, 2005Publication date: August 24, 2006Inventors: Ellen Nelson, Bruce Votipka, Craig Ehike, Scott Neal

Publication number: 20060111030Abstract: The apparatus is an improvement in utility from an old apparatus. This apparatus provides operator two different angles, one angle to be used for large knifes or honing the blade. The additional angle is used for thin blades and realignment of blade edges. An additional improvement is the addition of a shear sharpening apparatus creating a versatile apparatus. An additional improvement is the utility of the housing unit. The housing unit is versatile where the user can mount to a fixed position or can hand-held. No other apparatus exist using this utility.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 23, 2004Publication date: May 25, 2006Inventors: Kathleen Harden, Jeffrey Harden, Scott Neal, Victoria Neal

Patent number: 6442753Abstract: A dependency checking apparatus and method allows checking the version of classes in an object-oriented program to assure the proper version is being used for each release of the software. According to a first preferred embodiment, classes themselves include static code that checks dependencies when the class is loaded. The first embodiment is simple to implement for classes. According to a second preferred embodiment, information relating to version checking is stored separate from the classes and is used to check dependencies. This second embodiment is more flexible, allowing the checking of interfaces as well as classes, and allows the dependency information to be altered without recompiling the classes being checked.Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 1997Date of Patent: August 27, 2002Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Scott Neal Gerard, Steven Lester Halter, Steven J.
