  • Publication number: 20210076086
Abstract: A method and system for server driven adaptive transcoding is provided. A transcoding server computer may initially receive a first portion of a particular media file from a media file repository. The transcoding server computer may transcode the first portion of the particular media file into a first transcoded media segment of a first quality and send the first transcoded segment to a client computing device. The transcoding server computer may receive a second portion of the particular media file from the media file repository, transcode the second portion of the particular media file into a second transcoded media segment of a second quality different than the first quality, and send the second transcoded media segment to the client computing device.

  • Patent number: 10462265
Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing remote access to an unavailable server is provided. In an embodiment, a proxy server computer receives a request to access data over a network from a client computing device. The proxy server computer identifies a particular server computer that is separate from the client computing device to fulfill the request. The proxy server computer then determines that the particular server computer is unavailable to a client computing device. In response to determining the particular server is unavailable to the client computing device, the proxy server computer maintains a transport layer connection from the client computing device. While maintaining the transport layer connection, the proxy server computer initiates startup of the particular server computer.

  • Patent number: 8631227
Abstract: Electronic document processing logic coupled to a computer and to a quarantine is operable to identify an encrypted electronic document received at the computer; determine whether the key server stores particular decryption data, or credentials to access decryption data, that can decrypt the encrypted electronic document; in response to determining that the key server does not store particular decryption data that can decrypt the encrypted electronic document: store the electronic document in the quarantine; notify one of the users; receive from the one of the users the particular decryption data; decrypt the electronic document; scan the electronic document to identify specified content in the electronic document; and perform one or more responsive actions based on the specified content. As a result, encrypted content in documents or e-mail can be decrypted, scanned for viruses, malware, or prohibited content, and re-encrypted or delivered.

  • Patent number: 8332627
Abstract: Mutual authentication systems and methods are described that comprise an authenticating server that is available across a network and capable of authenticating a user based on credentials provided by the user. An embeddable object provided by the authenticating server and containing a passphrase that identifies the server to the user. A credentials entry mechanism identifies the user to the authenticating server. A user device displays an Outer Page that can request authentication. The authenticating server verifies the source of the request and provides the passphrase to the user device. The display of the passphrase confirms the identity of the authenticating server to the user. The source of the request can be verified using a secure cookie. The embeddable object can be provided in a second page and can prevent display of the passphrase if user input is not directed to the second page.
