  • Patent number: 11248949
Abstract: In aspects of a wireless hand sensory apparatus for weight monitoring, a wearable article is worn by a user who moves items. A tracking system is implemented in the wearable article, and the tracking system includes a force sensor, or force sensors, in the wearable article to register a force on an item. The tracking system includes tracking logic that determines a weight of the item based on the force on the item. The tracking system may also include a motion sensor to sense motion of the wearable article, and the tracking logic determines how the item is moved based on the motion of the wearable article. The tracking logic can also determine the weight of the item based on the force on the item in combination with a speed of the motion of the wearable article.

  • Publication number: 20180182253
Abstract: Multiple different sensors are worn by a user to monitor a user's movement. Information associated with the user's monitored movement is gathered from the sensors and analysis of the gathered information produces one or more notifications that can guide the user on how to conduct the movement. The notifications are then provided to the user.

  • Patent number: 9867218
Abstract: A method facilitates establishment of wireless pairing connections between wireless electronic devices by: initiating, at a first device, a connection utility that enables the first device to establish a wireless connection with at least one second device; capturing an image of a selected second device, representing a second device to which a wireless connection is desired; and scanning for identifying information about each discoverable second device that is within a connection range of the first device. The method further includes: forwarding the captured image and any detected identifying information to a wireless connectivity assist (WCA) service; receiving wireless connection setup and configuration (WCSC) instructions from the WCA service; and establishing the wireless connection with the selected second device utilizing wireless connection setup and configuration (WCSC) instructions received from the WCA service.

  • Patent number: 9842288
Abstract: In aspects of a RFID-based hand sensory apparatus for monitoring handled inventory, a wearable article is worn by a user who moves items, or a container of items, and each of the items has an RFID tag. A tracking system implemented in the wearable article includes force sensors to register a force on an item or the container, and includes a motion sensor to sense motion of the wearable article. Tracking logic of the tracking system initiates an RFID reader to interrogate the RFID tags of the items based on the registered force on the item or the container, and based on the motion of the wearable article. The RFID reader may be integrated in a wearable article, may be an external device, and/or may be affixed to the container of items and initiated when the container is moved.

  • Patent number: 9804665
Abstract: One disclosed method includes generating a rule set by an application running on a primary processor. The rule set specifies how the application handles events. The rule set is sent from the primary processor to a secondary processor and the primary processor is placed in sleep mode. The secondary processor may then handle at least one event corresponding to the application by executing the rule set while the primary processor is in sleep mode. In one embodiment, handling the event may include substituting for the application by the secondary processor by executing the rule set, and controlling a peripheral hardware device that is peripheral to the primary processor according to the rule set. Handling an event may also include waking the primary processor from sleep mode by the secondary processor and passing control back to the primary processor.
