    Abstract: The present invention pertains to process for preparing an aqueous inkjet inks and more particularly to a process for using a milling device with a compatible solvent, a pigment and a polymeric dispersant. While milling a fluid is added to increase the pressure in the mill leading to a dispersion of the pigment with a polymeric dispersant. The polymerically dispersed pigment is then mixed into an aqueous media.
