  • Publication number: 20250082113
Abstract: A positive locating patch system and method, and associated structure, is disclosed for maintaining a positive location between respective outer covers and inner bladders which combine to create an inflatable structure or object. The locking patches are respectively attached to inner surfaces of an outer cover for an inflatable that are positioned in an opposed manner to cooperating patches located on the outer surfaces of the inner bladder. Once these respective opposed patches are associated by face-to-face contact, the respective outer cover and inner bladder of the inflatable maintain an approximate alignment such that inflation and deflation of the inflatable are readily achieved owing to consistent access to the bladder gas valve inside the outer cover.

  • Publication number: 20250053522
Abstract: A memory expansion device operable with a host computer system (host) comprises a non-volatile memory (NVM) subsystem, cache memory, and control logic configurable to receive a submission from the host including a read command and specifying a payload in the NVM subsystem and demand data in the payload. The control logic is configured to request ownership of a set of cache lines corresponding to the payload, to indicate completion of the submission after acquiring ownership of the cache lines, and to load the payload to the cache memory. The set of cache lines correspond to a set of cache lines in a coherent destination memory space accessible by the host. The control logic is further configured to, after indicating completion of the submission and in response to a request from the host to read demand data in the payload, return the demand data after determining that the demand data is in the cache memory.

  • Publication number: 20240424605
Abstract: An apparatus for cutting a sheet of aerosol-generating material includes a laser generator configured such that a laser emitted by the laser generator cuts the sheet as the sheet of aerosol-generating material is conveyed along a conveyance path. An apparatus for manufacturing a sheet of aerosol-generating material including the apparatus for cutting a sheet of aerosol-generating material is also disclosed. Also disclosed is a consumable having a sheet of aerosol-generating material formed into a wrapped rod and having a distal end for insertion into an aerosol generating device including a heating element that is received within the aerosol-generating material at the distal end of the rod. A portion of the sheet of aerosol generating material at the distal end of the rod is cut into strips extending from said distal end of the wrapped rod.

  • Publication number: 20230406301
Abstract: Vehicles and related systems and methods are provided for controlling a vehicle in an autonomous operating mode. One method involves determining a current value for a range of view associated with a sensing device onboard the vehicle, determining a target value for the range of view based at least in part on a speed of the vehicle, and in response to determining the current value is less than the target value, determining a dropback adjustment distance based at least in part on a difference between target value for the range of view and an estimated distance to a closest in path (CIP) vehicle ahead of the vehicle within a current lane of travel, determining a longitudinal trajectory for the vehicle based at least in part on the dropback adjustment distance, and autonomously operating one or more actuators onboard the vehicle in accordance with the longitudinal trajectory.
