  • Publication number: 20110208660
Abstract: Methods and systems for providing information to a mortgage recipient or other customer of a financial institution. A system identifies potential customer inquiries and provides a list of scripts responsive to the potential customer inquiries. If none of the scripts address the customer's inquiry, the customer specifies the inquiry and an additional list of scripts is generated. The scripts include scripted text, account information, and financial transaction information. In one variation, the customer accesses a website maintained by the financial institution and views a script responsive to the inquiry. In another variation, the customer telephones a customer service agent who selects a script responsive to the inquiry, and reads the script to the customer. In yet another variation, the script is provided to the customer via an Interactive Voice Response system.

  • Patent number: 7957748
Abstract: A network and method to establish a real-time location based service for client mobile device users. Asynchronous data connections are established between client mobile devices and a data server over wireless networks. Synchronous data connections are established between the client devices and a map server over wireless networks. The data server receives geographic location information from the client devices, indicating a geographic location of each client device, and relays the geographic location information to the client devices in real time via the asynchronous data connections. The map server provides map data to the client devices as requested from the client devices via the synchronous data connections. The geographic location information may be overlaid onto the map data and displayed on any of the client mobile devices to indicate the various locations of the various client devices in real time.

  • Publication number: 20110083109
Abstract: A method and apparatus for use with an electronic display system including a display surface wherein the system is capable of identifying a touch location on at least a portion of the display surface of a contact with the display surface, the display surface having a display area, the method for moving a cursor icon about at least a portion of the display area and comprising the steps of identifying first and second areas within the display area having first and second area surfaces, respectively, sensing a touch location on the first area surface and presenting a cursor icon on the second area surface as a function of the touch location on the first area surface.

  • Patent number: 7916887
Abstract: A wind-shielded acoustic sensor, having a microphone and a housing of the microphone. The housing has a streamlined, continuous profile about a latitudinal axis and a longitudinal axis thereof, such that wind-induced noise can be reduced. A plurality of uniformly spaced sound ports are formed along a plurality of circumferences centered about a longitudinal axis thereof. At least one region of the housing is sufficiently thin and pliable such that deformation will occur while subjected to wind. Thereby, both acoustic signals and wind-related random-like pressure fluctuations are transmitted into the cavity enclosed by the housing.

  • Patent number: 7883417
Abstract: A disclosed gaming system allows game configuration of gaming machines in the gaming system via wireless transmissions from a hand-held device. For instance, via the hand-held device, a user can configure a plurality of gaming machines in range of the device with different games or hardware settings. Further, via the hand-held device, a user can gather information from a number of gaming machines in range of the device.

  • Publication number: 20110015780
Abstract: An RFID enabled paper roll includes a tubular core, a paper stock wound around the core, and a radio frequency integrated circuit electrically coupled to an antenna and positioned on the core. A system for reading a radio frequency integrated circuit positioned on an item of inventory in a warehouse comprises a material handling device and an RFID reader coupled to the material handling device. The material handling device has at least member for use in transporting an item of inventory. The reader is configured to read the radio frequency integrated circuit associated with the item of inventory when the item is in proximity to the material handling device.

  • Patent number: 7788511
Abstract: An extremely low overhead method calculates CPU load in the presence of both CPU idling and frequency scaling. The method measures time the CPU is idled while waiting for a wakeup. This invention uses a feature in current DSPs with the capability of delaying ISR processing on wake from IDLE. Using this mechanism it is possible to determine the time before IDLE, the time immediately following CPU wakeup, and then run the wakeup ISR. The delta time can be accumulated and compared to total time to determine true CPU load.

  • Publication number: 20090078224
Abstract: A cam follower rocker arm is provided comprising a body with a U-shape cross section with an intermediate opening at the top of the inverted U-shape and having an outside width less then the inside width of the opening, creating a ledge perpendicular to the body side walls. A roller having a peripheral step on both sides to allow the smaller width at the roller periphery to extend into the body opening with the larger width of the roller maintaining a close running clearance of the roller sides to the inside walls of the body when the roller is assembled in the body.
