Each probe may be configured to perform an operation with respect to a network resource. Dependency and timing information are defined for the set of probes. A testing sequence is generated based on the set of probes, the dependency information, and the timing information, where the testing sequence is executable by a testing service to perform one or more tests associated with the one or more network resources. In addition to supporting methods for defining and executing testing sequences, some example embodiments enable data to be passed between probes during execution of a testing sequence.
