  • Publication number: 20080060119
Abstract: A deodorizing toilet seat assembly includes a seat, a pod housing a fan, a deodorizer, a sensor and a timer. A seat may be a heated seat. User seating activates the fan, and the timer may stop the fan a set time after the user rises from the seat. The deodorizer deodorizes air drawn by the fan, to which air fragrance and aroma may be added. Control or sensor signals may be electrical, optical, sonic, or other signals. Wiring may pass through a hinge connecting the pod and the seat or lid. Methods to deodorize air from a toilet include steps of providing an assembly with a seat, pod, fan, timer and deodorizer; activating a fan and a timer, contacting air with a deodorizer and optionally a fragrance or aroma dispenser, effective to improve the quality of the air and optionally provide fragrance or aroma to the air.

  • Publication number: 20070256226
Abstract: Devices, systems and methods for sanitizing or sterilizing one or more surfaces of a toilet accessory by directing a sanitizing or a sterilizing dose of germicidal electromagnetic radiation onto those surfaces are provided. The germicidal electromagnetic radiation may be ultraviolet (UV) radiation provided by at least one UV lamp integral with the toilet accessory. The UV lamps may be light-emitting diodes. Surfaces that may be sanitized or sterilized include a toilet seat surface, and a retractable nozzle surface. Systems include a toilet accessory, a source of germicidal electromagnetic radiation, a fluid connection and a power connection. Methods include steps of irradiating a surface with a sanitizing or sterilizing dose of germicidal electromagnetic radiation, and may further include steps of closing a toilet lid prior to an irradiation step, steps of extending a nozzle prior to an irradiation step, and steps of retracting a nozzle prior to an irradiation step.

  • Patent number: 5656307
Abstract: This invention provides a cabinet assembly which can be created as a single body, including an enclosure and accessory components attached to the enclosure, requiring no additional molds to form the accessory components separately, thereby reducing the cost of molding the accessory components, the number of molding processes and, as a result the total cost. A shut-off valve provided on a mold allows one of the accessory components to be selected for integration with the enclosure as a single body according to the specifications of the particular equipment, thus enabling the particular accessory component to be molded at the same time as the enclosure.

  • Patent number: 5650921
Abstract: An electronic component assembly including a connector hole built as part of an enclosure serving as a cabinet of electronic device, where the connector hole is used for passing through an electric connector connecting a component inside the cabinet to an external device installed outside the cabinet, has a knurled portion with a plurality of dents provided around the inside of the hole for preventing the connector from rotating by engaging the corners of the flange in the connector with any of the dents. As a result, other parts, including a rear terminal assembly for preventing the connector from rotating, and the number of the assembly operations can be eliminated. The cost and processes of molding other parts can also be eliminated.
