  • Publication number: 20230320492
Abstract: A mattress has a cover sewn over a cushioned non-absorbent core and is suitable for use as a resting place or sleeping space. The core is made of a netted material having a plurality of tangled, partially bonded filaments. The cushions can have various densities separated by baffles inside the cover. The cover can have a built in or added back support system. The mattress is a self contained carry case and needs no additional carry bag. A detachable shoulder strap doubles to carry the mattress and as adjustable straps to adjust the back support system. • Patent number: 8096846
Abstract: The auto-fastening skeg system comprises a skeg receiver and a skeg. The skeg has a male component that cooperates with a cavity of the skeg receiver. The cavity has front and rear ends, a spring disposed at said front end and at least one dowel disposed between the front and rear ends. The male component includes a front tip and at least one locking wedge, said locking wedge corresponds in number to the number of dowels. When the male component is set in the cavity and the locking wedge is aligned with the dowel of the receiver, the spring pushes the front tip of the male component against the rear wall of the cavity of the receiver and the locking wedge against the dowel providing a locking mechanism that holds the skeg to the receiver.

  • Patent number: 5873183
Abstract: A shoe securement apparatus for a shoe employing a lace having opposite ends to interconnect two sides of the shoe. The apparatus includes a fastener plug attached to each of the opposite ends of the lace, a guide formed on each side of the shoe for engaging and directing the lace and a channel formed on each side of the shoe for receiving one end of the lace and its fastener plug. The fastener plug is forcibly engageable with the channel to secure the lace in the channel with the fastener plug being formed of a soft, flexible material such as a polymer. In one embodiment of the invention, the guide in an inclined groove and in another embodiment of the invention the guide is a knob with a curved wall which engages the lace. In yet another embodiment of the invention the lace is formed of a soft, flexible material such as a polymer.

  • Patent number: 5802183
Abstract: A behind-the-ear assistive listening receiver having a housing containing an RF receiver. The housing includes a cavity in which two or more crystal carriers are removably insertable. Each of the crystal carriers contains an oscillation crystal tuned to a particular frequency corresponding to an RF frequency desired to be received by the user. A switch is provided for permitting the user to select one of the oscillation crystals to automatically tune for the RF receiver to the desired RF frequency. Each crystal carrier may contain visible indicia indicating the frequency to which it is tuned, and the carriers may be positioned in the housing so that the indicia are generally visible to others when the receiver is worn by the user. The assistive listening receiver may also include a conventional hearing aid microphone for converting ambient sounds into an electrical hearing aid signal. A mixer is provided within the housing for mixing the hearing aid signal with the RF signal to provide a mixed output signal.
