    Abstract: A financial processing system for determining a financial network for routing an electronic transaction includes a network BIN database including a plurality of terminal routing profiles. Each routing profile includes at least a corresponding bank identification number (BIN) and a prioritized list of preferred financial networks of an associated terminal created by a transaction acquirer. The financial processing system provides a BIN file including a plurality of BINs and indicating financial networks having claimed priority over any of said BINS from the plurality. From the routing profile of a terminal, the financial processing system determines a financial network preferred by the transaction acquirer for routing said electronic transaction, and from the BIN file, determines if at least one network flag is marked indicating a network's claim of priority over the BIN.

Information describing each deposit made at the ATM is collected and first and second summaries of the deposits produced. In response to a sweep command, a printout summarizing deposits made prior to the sweep command and subsequent to an immediately preceding sweep command is generated while, in response to a reset command, a printout summarizing deposits made prior to the reset command but subsequent to the sweep command is generated.
